“Today, we made another history, breaking a 32 year jinx, as Students of Christ the King College (CKC), Onitsha, won the World Affairs Challenge 2024! The first in the country.
“Because, if Onitsha doesn’t function, then, Anambra doesn’t work. It is the biggest commercial city in the country and the largest market in West Africa. If Onitsha doesn’t work, Southeast doesn’t work.”
He said.
“Having completed Port Harcourt Road and Niger Street, the government would now shift its attention to other adjoining roads in Onitsha like Ziks Avenue, Silas Works, and Miss Elems, among others.” He announced new plans.
The initiative is part of the government’s efforts to improve transportation and ease traffic congestion in the region.
This is as Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR, met with the traditional rulers of Anambra State led by the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe CFR, on January 23, 2024.
