Russia Vs Ukraine: U.S. Supplies Heavy Weapons to Ukraine as Russia Unveils New Bomb

With no end of the crisis in sight, the United States has again restated their support for Ukraine as the war against Russia’s provocative invasion lingers.

The United States on Thursday, provided Ukraine with long-range tactical ballistic missiles known as ATACMS.

According to the U.S. defense department spokesman, Major Charlie Dietz, the ballistic missiles have a range of up to 300 kilometers, nearly doubling the striking distance of Ukraine’s missiles.

The missiles were sent to Ukraine as part of the United States’ $300 million military aid package provided to Kyiv in mid-March, Dietz said. He would not confirm whether more ATACMS are being sent in the latest aid package.

Two U.S. officials also confirmed to VOA that Ukraine used the ATACMS on Tuesday night. Other media outlets are reporting that the weapons were first used last week on Russian targets in the illegally annexed Crimean Peninsula.

This is as Russia unveiled new 3-ton Bomb, stating that it will change war forever.

Recall that Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Sunday that his country has “a chance at victory” over Russia with the new armaments package for Kyiv’s troops that is nearing approval in the U.S. Congress and supported by President Joe Biden.

The House of Representatives, over the opposition of the right-wing flank of the narrow Republican majority in the chamber, voted Saturday for $60.8 billion in new military assistance for Ukraine, with the Senate expected to pass the measure this week and then Biden signing it.

“I think this support will really strengthen the armed forces, I pray … which we need so much, which thousands of soldiers need so much,” Zelenskyy told NBC’s “Meet the Press” show, speaking through an interpreter.
