Ohaneze made the call while reacting to the position of Nigeria’s military in the recent developments in the Southeast as well as restating their stance on Kanu.

The group also calls for strong caution to Mr. Simon Ekpa via the Embassy of Finland in Nigeria, an exclusive bill to the National Assembly for an amendment of the constitution to remove the immunity clause for state governors as well as an investigation into how the monthly security votes were expended by governors, among others
The directive is coming in the wake of Tuesday’s tweet by Simon Ekpa, a self-acclaimed disciple of the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, asking indigenes of South-East Nigeria who are resident in Lagos, to observe a sit-at-home exercise over an alleged attack on them.
The arrest comes as Mazi Ekpa intensifies efforts to frustrate the Nigerian presidential elections scheduled for February 25.
In his words, Gov. Soludo said that “if the detained IPOB leader cannot be released unconditionally, he should be released to him, saying he is ready to stand surety for him.
They, however, maintained that now that Ekpa is down, it is time to focus on the imminent actualization of the new nation, as they push harder for the freedom of Kanu.
Meanwhile, Nigerians in the diaspora are signing a petition urging the Finland government, the Nigerian government, and the European Union to arrest Simon Ekpa, the person responsible for the five-day sit-at-home order that recently resulted in the deaths of numerous South-East citizens.
It could be recalled that a group of idealists popularly known as Ãnonymous in a statement Saturday, 13th August 2022, affirmed that the time will soon be up for Mazi Ekpa to be deported to Nigeria by the Finland government.
They further said that it is going to be sad news for Ekpa and those who hijacked the course and turned against their people, killing them because of money.
“They called out some of the conspirators and further warned Residents of the Southeast region of Nigeria as well as Mr. Peter Gregory Obi to be extremely careful ahead of the upcoming polls in the country.”
