Ochie Igbo Accuses Southeast Govs of Compromise About Insecurity in the Region, Calls for Unconditional Release of Kanu

A socio-cultural organization of young professionals, popularly known as Odinala Cultural Heritage Foundation (Ochie Igbo), has called on the Federal Government to come clean on the lingering issue of insecurity ravaging social and commercial activities in the Southeast region of Nigeria.

The group through a press release signed by its national publicity secretary, Caleb Ekene Onwe Esq, tasked President Tinubu to make a categorical statement on the matter, stressing that allegations of covert false flag military operations in the geopolitical zone the situation.

It further accused the governors of the states in the Southeast region of compromise, stating that they have allowed political differences and self-aggrandizement to divert their attention from the exigent need for collective actions against the menace of insecurity.

Ochie Igbo, consequently, called for an unconditional release of the leaders of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, strong caution to Mr. Simon Ekpa via the Embassy of Finland in Nigeria, an exclusive bill to the National Assembly for an amendment of the constitution to remove the immunity clause for state governors as well as an investigation into how the monthly security votes were expended by governors, among others.
