The group has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu not to fall for the antics of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, insisting that the leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu must face trial.
“CNG has carefully watched and studied these events and actions being perpetrated against the Nigerian state, against Nigerians collectively, and against northerners in particular, with considerable restraint and maturity.” The group affirmed.

“You know that the South-East has made a collective demand to have Nnamdi Kanu released, and we basically identified with that.” He said.
“Though some Biafrans continued with Monday sit-at-home voluntarily, as our leader predicted, after the suspension order, some criminals and infiltrators hijacked it and started committing crimes and enforcing non-existent Monday sit-at-home.” They said.
According to him, the immediate release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will quicken the much-needed healing process in Nigeria.
The group accused the Supreme Court of bias in the handling of Kanu’s case, saying the apex court was conspiring with the Federal Government, which “wants our leader to die in detention,” given his ill health.
