The group has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu not to fall for the antics of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, insisting that the leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu must face trial.
It said the southeast and south-south recorded five deaths each, while the northeast and north-west had four deaths each.
“It is a fact that modernizing the livestock sector is key to resolving herder-farmer conflicts, which threatens Nigeria’s political stability and food security.
“We have mapped out all the entry points by terrorists into Biafran territories, and emphatically maintained that something pragmatically urgent must be done to stop them from going forward.” They said.
“If there is a problem with the cattle market today, there are two governors after me and they could have reviewed the situation if it is bad for the state.” He said.
“They are destroying our farms that are our sources of livelihood and if you complain they kill you. Most of us borrowed huge funds to cultivate the farms and they allow their cows to destroy everything. The people are just on a mission to displace our people and maybe take over our land before the 2023 elections.” He said
Recall that various rural communities in Enugu State including Enugwu-Ezike, Uzo-Uwani, Ohuolu Mgbede, Aguamede, Mgbuji, and Ebo in Eha-Umufu have recently recorded a series of attacks by suspected Fulani-herders.
“However, efforts made to get the reaction of the state police command were unsuccessful as the command’s spokesman DSP Daniel Ndukwe did not answer calls from our correspondent.” Source said
