The government set up a committee to liaise with organized labour, but officials of the Trade Union Congress and the NLC though said the committee had failed to engage labour in a dialogue.
This was contained in a directive from the Office of the Director of Senior Secondary Education Department of the Federal Ministry of Education, reference number ADF/120/DSSE/I, dated 25th May 2023 and addressed to all Principals of Federal Unity Colleges.
The group also accuses the governors of the states in the Southeast of compromise, stating that they have allowed political differences and self-aggrandizement to divert their attention from the exigent need for collective actions against the menace of insecurity.

Justice Ayokunle Faji granted the orders after listening to the submissions of the NDLEA’s counsel, Abu Ibrahim.
