Photos: NLC Commences Nationwide Protest Over Subsidy Removal
The organized labour in Bayelsa State commenced the protest against fuel subsidy removal by the Federal Government this morning.
They are marching along the Mbiama-Yenagoa Road to the Government House in the state capital, Yenagoa.
Other reports indicate that the branches in other states including the FCT commenced demonstrations earlier this morning.
Recall that the union yesterday reaffirmed the readiness to kick off nationwide demonstrations against the unbridled cause of hardship inflicted on the citizens by the present administration of President Bola Tinubu.
The union had further given directives to its branches in the states across the federation concerning their rendezvous and procedures to follow in the course of the demonstrations.
Several policemen and other security operatives are monitoring the protest.
