“Security is one thing the president promised Nigerians because his job is to protect lives and property. If we can’t protect lives and property, then we have no reason to be in government.” Wike .
Recall that Fubara allegedly issued a stern ultimatum to all commissioners approved by FCT minister, Emperor Nysome Wike, to resign by Friday 15th December, er or face immediate dismissal.
He also alleged that even after leaving office, Wike still had a say in government operations and how the governor was managing the affairs of the state.
The tribunal’s decision comes after a petition was filed by the LP and APC candidates, contesting Fubara’s victory.
“No more will it be said of Rivers State again, that one individual will come up to control Rivers State anymore. We are for Rivers and Rivers is for us. So far, over 10 of the Commissioners have resigned their appointment and more are anticipated to follow suit as the polity hits harder.

Wike made the call while reacting to the crisis in Rivers State House of Assembly where 27 lawmakers elected under the platform of PDP defected to the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC.
The lawmakers, who were elected on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, announced their decision during Monday’s plenary at the Rivers Assembly Complex.
Recall that the legislative arm of the state has been in serious crisis following their bid to impeach the governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara.
When we make the right decision, some people will be happy, and some will not. The rich will kick against some of our decisions, but anything that will help our people must be done,’’ Wike said.
