JUST IN: Imposter Can’t be Rivers State Assembly Speaker –Hon. Dumle Maol

Hon. Dumle Maol, the Deputy Speaker of Rivers State Assembly and member representing Gokana Constituency, in a statement on Tuesday, 31 October, said Rt. Hon. Martin Chike Amaewhule remains the authentic Speaker of Rivers State House of Assembly.

Hon. Dumle Maol stated that any other person parading himself as Speaker of the House is an impostor.

The Deputy Speaker, therefore, called on Rivers people to ignore those claiming what they are not that the House is under Amaewhule’s control, backed by a majority of the lawmakers.

Hon. Maol also called on security agencies to be aware of the activities of impostors as their actions are capable of eroding peace in the state.

This is as the political crisis rocking the Rivers Government takes wings of fresh dimensions despite the several efforts made by concerned citizens to resolve the problems.
