He said, “As a consequence of the events of the last few days I am constrained to say that, the Nigerian opposition, represented by the followers of Atiku Abubakar (Atikulators) and the followers of Peter Obi (Obidients), have lost control of their senses.”
The ruling by a three-man panel of the court, led by Justice Joseph Ikyegh, followed separate motions ex-parte filed by Abubakar and Obi before the court.
Mr. Obi also alleged that Mr. Tinubu failed to win the majority of the lawful votes cast in the election, and just as he could not secure one-quarter of the lawful votes cast in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
The meeting with INEC officials which is being held at the Commission’s national headquarters is to start the process of inspection of electoral materials used for the February 25 presidential election.

The legal tussle is about to kick off as the various parties including the ruling All Progressives Congress APC’s candidate and President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the People’s Democratic Party PDP’s Atiku, and Mr. Peter Obi of the Labour Party have hired several Senior Advocates of Nigeria SAN for the post-election battle.
“We, therefore, call on the general public to note the level of lawlessness and brazen disobedience to a lawful order of a court by an important statutory agency such as INEC, which is a well-calculated attempt to undermine and frustrate the presentation of the Petition by the Labour Party and its Presidential candidate before the tribunal in good time.
They further mentioned some notable demagogues including those that contested the 2023 presidential election in Nigeria as conspirators.
He stressed that the era of tolerating impunity in the country was over.
