Just In: Cristiano Ronaldo Returns To Training After Being Dropped From Man United Squad

Portuguese forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, has returned to training after being axed from the travelling team to face Chelsea this weekend

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner arrived at Carrington on Friday to begin his first-team exile training.

The Portuguese star, whose refusal to play as a replacer in Manchester United’s 2-0 victory over Tottenham was revealed by Sportsmail, arrived at 8.30 with the Under-21s before working out with coaches alone.

A picture taken by Eamonn and James Clark via Daily mail revealed this star’s arrival at Carrington at circa 8:30 on Friday.

As previously reported by Naija News, on Wednesday night at Old Trafford, Ronaldo walked down the tunnel before the game had ended.

However, according to Daily Mail, it is believed that the player has displayed overt contempt for Ten Hag and his coaching staff, going so far as to blatantly ignore one senior staff member.

Although the tension in camp is said to be unaffected, players are reportedly aware of Ronaldo and Ten Hag’s daily spat.

Ganduje’s Son Using Govt Properties To Fund Campaign – NNPP

The New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) has alleged that Abba Ganduje, son of the Governor of Kano state, Abdullahi Ganduje, is diverting government properties into his campaign.

Abba is the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the House of Representatives (Dawakin Tofa, Rimingado and Tofa federal constituency) in Kano state.

The NNPP chairman, Hon. Umar Haruna Doguwa, in a statement said that the party had discovered that the state government diverted over 30 vehicles from the Kano Internal Revenue Service (KIRS) to the campaign activities of the APC candidate.

The party alleged that the vehicles in question which carried Abba’s image were to be distributed to the APC ward chairmen of Rimingado, Tofa and Dawakin Tofa Federal constituency to checkmate the incumbent, Tijjani Abdulkadir Jobe, who distributed about 20 cars to his party members recently.

The statement further revealed that the said vehicles had been assembled at the temporary campus of Northwest University, Kano, awaiting distribution to supporters of Abba Ganduje.

Reacting to the allegations from the NNPP, KIRS said there was no truth to the claim, warning that they would take legal action to safeguard their hard-earned reputation.

A statement signed by the Head of Corporate Communication, KIRS, Alhaji Rabiu Saleh Rimingado, reaffirmed the statutory responsibility of the revenue service.

Eight Foreign, Local Investors Show Interest In Acquiring Ajaokuta Steel – Minister

Eight Foreign, Local Investors Show Interest To Acquire Ajaokuta Steel – Minister

In Osun State yesterday, Nigeria’s Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Olamilekan Adegbite said the federal government is close to privatizing the Ajaokuta steel which is still under construction.

According to him, foreign and local investors have shown interest in acquiring the company and the government is as well on the verge of handing over the management, operation and development of the company to the best among the investors.

Naija News understands that the Minister made the disclosure on Thursday while speaking at the 93rd Annual Anniversary of Government College Ibadan Old Boys Association held at Gbogan in Osun State.

Adegbite disclosed that so far, five foreign investors and three Nigeria mining production companies have shown interest in the Ajaokuta Steel Company.

The Minister said vetting of the interested investors would end in November this year, as the ministry has sought the assistance of a private consultancy company to choose the best out of the private investors.

“We have already employed the transaction adviser, PWC International, they are going to rank these proposals from one to eight, there is room for more. We are going to close by the end of November but the transaction adviser will rank them and the ranking I will need to take it to the Federal Executive Council where the final decision will be taken, whoever is chosen will have Ajaokuta.

“People are coming up with different proposals but we will rank them and tell us what is best to go. As I said, the federal government has its own setback in Ajaokuta,” Daily Trust quoted Adegbite as saying.

Buhari Govt Can’t Complete Ajaokuta Steel Company Works Before 2023

In March, Adegbite revealed that the revitalization works on the Ajaokuta steel company plant located in Kogi State would not be concluded before the tenure of President Muhammadu Buhari ends in 2023.

The Minister disclosed this while speaking with state house correspondents in Abuja on 30th March.

Naija News recalls a 2022 date had earlier been announced by the federal government for the plant to roar back to life but the Minister in his address said the COVID-19 pandemic had slowed down the works as well as funds available for it.

He added that the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war is another impediment to the successful completion of the project. The Minister pointed out that the delay was clearly caused by major unforeseen circumstances.

Adegbite said: “I’ve said it before, when we came back from Russia, yes, I went to the public and said, look we will deliver Ajaokuta before the end of this tenure. And I pray that I’ll have a chance to go back and apologize and explain what happened to the people before I leave office.

“ It is due to no fault of ours. Everybody was ready to go, but unfortunately, COVID came in. So, it is a force majeure”

Adegbite however added that the federal government remains committed to the project and a British firm will now take over the project.

He assured further that the $2 million approved for the project had not been paid to the Russian firm but remains safe in the federal government coffers.

South-East Governors’ Silence Over Kanu’s Detention Is Baffling – IPOB

We Have Won Them Forever, FG Has No Choice But To Release Nnamdi Kanu - Ejiofor

The leadership of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has described the silence of the south-east governors over the continuous detention of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu as worrisome.

According to the group, the silence of the Igbo political leaders didn’t depict he (Kanu) was their true son as claimed before.

IPOB’s director of media and publicity, Emma Powerful, in a statement, said the continuous detention of its leader by the Department of State Services (DSS) after he had been discharged by the Court of Appeal was against his fundamental human rights, Naija News learnt.

The statement read: “following the landmark judgment of October 13, 2022, by the Federal Court of Appeal, sitting in Abuja that unequivocally discharged and acquitted Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the Ohamadike of Biafra land of all the trumped up charges brought against him by the Fulani government of Nigeria, the silence from south-east governors and political leadership gives room for concern.

“We the global movement and family of the Indigenous People of Biafra under the command and leadership of our great leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu are compelled to ask Igbo governors, senators, House of Representative members, ministers, House of Assembly members in every state in Biafraland why the silence over the continued illegal detention of their son, Mazi Nnamdi Okwuchukwu Kanu despite the fact that a court of competent jurisdiction, the Court of Appeal, has discharged and acquitted him of all the charges brought against him by the Nigerian government?

“IPOB has been observing the countenance of Igbo politicians from the moment the Appeal Court ruled in favour of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and wonder whether this silence is as a result of these leaders being cowardly and afraid of the Fulani government or whether they are accomplices to the kidnapping and extraordinary renditioning of their son? If they are afraid of the Fulani cabal who are running the affairs of this country, it means they are cowards and are unworthy to represent our people in every event in Nigeria.

“IPOB is asking these questions because our patience is not and will not be infinitely elastic. The continued detention of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu by the DSS notwithstanding the Court of Appeal ruling and the accompanying silence from the south-east political leaders leaves much to be desired. This is exactly the same attitude of silence exhibited by these so-called political, traditional and religious leaders as their sons and daughters are daily abducted and extra-judicially murdered. This attitude must be reversed and there is still a small window of opportunity to change this attitude and be very proactive in the defence of your own.

“For the fact that a court of competent jurisdiction has discharged and acquitted Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the Nigerian Government has no moral or legal ground to continue this persecution of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

“The ruling of the Court of Appeal should embolden the South-East governors and politicians of south-east extraction to demand that the rule of law must be upheld rather than be concerned or afraid of being witch hunted if they stand firm and strong in condemning the utterances and actions of Alhaji Abubakar Malami and the Fulani APC government whose intention it is to subvert the constitution and judicial pronouncement of the Court of Appeal.

“Malami and his people can hate Biafrans, especially Ndigbo as they like, but their hatred cannot take the grace of God from us and will never stop justice from prevailing in the case of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra.

“Igbo Leaders and stakeholders should stand as men and women with balls and make their stand known to us. This is not the time to remain silent or seat on the fence.”

Wike Donates N300m To Lagos State Officials Wives

I Was Not Vindictive Against Ex-Governor Omehia - Wike

The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has offered a sum of N300 million to the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO).

The governor announced the donation on Tuesday at the 22nd National Women’s Conference (NWC) with the theme; “Spring Forth, Stand Out,’ held at Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos Island.

He stated that his reason for making such a huge donation was to commend and support the involvement of women in politics and decision-making in Lagos State.

He insisted that the state is doing well because of the contribution of women to the state’s political environment.

He said he was amazed at all that COWLSO is doing in Lagos state and promised to replicate all that he had learnt from the conference in his state as well.

The donation is coming amidst the recent flood that has submerged some communities in the State, rendering thousands homeless, and without food.

Recall that over 200 communities in four local councils of Rivers State, namely – Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni (ONELGA), Ahoada West, Ahoada East and Abual Odual – have been displaced by ravaging flood.

Wike had announced the sum of N1bn to tackle the flood and make relief materials available to victims of the flood situation in Rivers State.

Wike also used the opportunity to declare total support for the re-election bid of Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in the 2023 general elections.

2023: PDP Chieftain Dumps Atiku, Declares Support For Obi

2023: Atiku, Obi, Others Don't Have Personal Integrity - APC Vice-chairman, Lukman

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State, Sampson Orji has dumped the presidential candidate of the party, Atiku Abubakar ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Orji on Wednesday instead declared support for the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi.

The former governorship aspirant promised to vote for Obi in the forthcoming election.

According to Orji, Obi’s antecedents and competence put him above other presidential candidates.

Orji while speaking during a radio programme promised to mobilise support for Obi not because he is his fellow Igbo but because of his antecedents.

He further stated that asking him to choose between Atiku and Obi is like asking him to choose between darkness and light.

Orji in his statement declared the former Governor of Anambra State as light.

He noted, “I’m a PDP man till tomorrow but I will support Peter Obi not because he is Igbo but because of what he represents. Obi is a movement. My family and friends will vote for Obi. Atiku is my friend but Peter Obi is a better candidate.”

Orji added that Obi is also from the South East which is believed to be the zone expected to take over in 2023.

He said, “Why can’t Atiku support Obi who was his running mate in 2019? I must speak the truth: what are we gaining in PDP that for 16 years it was in power Aba to Port Harcourt Expressway is not passable? You cannot drive from Umuahia to Ikot Ekpene or from Owerri to Umuahia on a good road.

“So, it is blindness to tell me to support Atiku when we have somebody in Peter Obi who has shown competence and capacity to take Nigeria out of the woods. Should I work against him because he’s Igbo?”

Let Him Bring His Track Record - Ikpeazu Dismisses Abaribe In Abia Senatorial Race

The Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu has submitted that he does not see former Senate Minority Leader, Enyinnaya Abaribe as a threat to his senatorial ambition.

The two leaders are part of the candidates from various political parties hoping to clinch the Abia South Senatorial seat in the 2023 elections, Naija News reports.

However, asked during an interview if he sees Senator Abaribe who is the incumbent as a threat to his own ambition, Ikpeazu declared that he does not.

According to him, he has the track record and experience to ward off any challenge from other candidates including Abaribe.

The Governor added that he has always fulfilled his promises to the people of the state and his constituency, so he is sure of their support and expecting victory at the polls.

I am not threatened because I am running on my record. So, let the people of Abia South look at my stewardship and also look at my promises and see how far I have gone. If I have promised 10 things and they notice that I have achieved seven of them, based on that, I want them to take a decision. Let everybody come to the table with his track record and pedigree. This is no time for vain talk. For me, this is also a time for positive advocacy,” Ikpeazu told The Nation in an interview.

The communique said, “We plan to extract and publish these commitments so that Nigerians may measure and evaluate candidates against them. Our goal is to afford citizens an opportunity to match candidates against their commitments to matters that are central to the interests of the North.”

Omokri Reacts To Wike’s Moves, Speaks On What PDP Should Do Before 2023 Election

Omokri Reacts To Wike's Provocative Moves, Reveals What PDP Will Do Before 2023 Election

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has reacted to the provocative statements and moves by Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Naija News understands that Wike who is of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been making some moves recently that could be termed as anti-party activity, but the Rivers State Governor still gets away without any sanction from the party leadership.

Recently, Wike publicly endorsed the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu for another term in office.

The PDP chieftain who was in Lagos on Tuesday shunned the PDP gubernatorial candidate in the state, Olajide Adeniran, also known as Jandor, saying that contesting against Sanwo-Olu for the state’s governorship seat is nothing but a waste of time.

Wike pitched his tent with Sanwo-Olu while speaking at the 22nd National Women’s Conference organized by the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO).
According to him, the Lagos Governor had raised the standard of governance with the quality of projects delivered across Lagos.

Wike’s recent declaration among his many previous provocative actions against the leadership of the PDP, its national chairman, Iyorchia Ayu and the party presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has received attention across boards ahead of the 2023 general elections.

However, in a Twitter post on Wednesday morning, Omokri who is a staunch supporter of Atiku said that no matter how provocative the Rivers State Governor becomes at this time, PDP will not fire back at him.

Omokri who boasts that PDP will reclaim power in 2023 expressed hope that Wike settle his rift with the leadership of the party. He, however, said the party will only endure and not fire back even if all efforts to pacify the Rivers State Governor prove abortive.

The controversial socio-political activist tweeted: “No matter how much Governor Wike provokes the PDP, the PDP ought not to react. We are obviously going to win the election. Hopefully, we can settle with him before February 25, 2023. But if that proves difficult, we should just endure and never give fire for fire!”

PDP Crisis: The Fight Between Atiku And Wike Is Not My Business – Jandor

2023: PDP Chieftain Discloses Only Solution To Atiku, Wike Rift

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship candidate in Lagos, Dr. Olajide Adediran, popularly called Jandor has said that he is not interested in the current rift between Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state and the party’s flag bearer, Atiku Abubakar.

Naija News reports that Wike and Atiku are at logger heads over the removal of Iyorchia Ayu as the party’s national chairman.

Jandor shared his opinion on the crisis in PDP during a media briefing with newsmen on the official unveiling of his manifesto and campaign plans in Ikeja, at the weekend.

When he was asked to give his political opinion on the crisis in the party Jandor chose a neutral ground, adding that he is more focused on politics at the state level.

He said, “For us in Lagos, we are under the national, what we have chosen to do is to focus on our election in Lagos, which is the local politics.

Why would I leave the ticket of a better tomorrow for Lagosians, which they are waiting eagerly for and fight the battle of who is national chairman and who is not. If they remove Senator Iyorchia Ayu, will they replace me with him?”

Speaking further, he opined that Atiku and Wike are his leaders and both have given him the mandate to go and win the election.

So, as far as we are concerned, both Governor Nyesom Wike and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’s camps are our leaders. Both camps have given us assignment to do and the assignment is: ‘go and win your state,’ which is Lagos and that is what we are focusing on.

“So, our national leader is playing national politics that is where he belongs. Do not forget that we have candidates for Senate, House of Representatives and House of Assembly, so we are focusing on our election. INEC will not change the date of election because we are having crisis. It is fixed and we must move on, he added.

Despite Wike’s alleged support of his (Jandor) gubernatorial ambition, Naija News reports that on Tuesday at the 22nd conference Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials, held in the state, the Rivers state Governor endorsed the All Progressives Congress gubernatorial candidate, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Lagos: PDP’s Jandor Starts Campaign Today, Says Its Time To Dislodge APC In Lagos

Lagos PDP: I Didn't Approve Funke Akindele As Jandor's Running Mate - Bode George

The Lagos State Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) governorship candidate, Dr Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran (Jandor), whose campaign kicks off today, has told Lagosians that it is time to dislodge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) from the state in the 2023 governorship election.

According to him, it is evident that the popularity of the APC in the state has dropped significantly due to the Sanwo-Olu administration’s poor performance.

Naija News gathered that Jandor, who said he was optimistic that he will win the governorship seat, appealed to the people of Lagos to vote for him because the state needs a rescuer to save them from the years of bad governance and failure of the APC.

The PDP candidate told Lagosians that his manifesto spells out all the solutions to the numerous problems of the state that he carefully listed.

Jandor’s campaign which commences at the Alimosho local government area of the state today is set to tour all 245 wards in the state.

He also condemned the recent 30-year Lagos development plan inaugurated by the Sanwo-Olu administration, saying it is not different from the previous development plan prepared 10 years ago.

He advanced that “they have conditioned our system to think governance is rocket science. We are coming and we are going to do it better.

“This election, all of us need to collapse our party affiliations and say for the first time, ‘we can vote for an independent governor that would work for all of us.’ That is a man that would not require second approval to do anything.

“We have issues in Lagos State, some of these issues would take a while, but we would initiate policies that would deal with every sector one by one.

“What we hear is huge money coming to Lagos, but we don’t see anything on the street of Lagos, rather than admitting to their failures they are making excuses.

“What they have in their new 30-year plan ((2022-2052) is to make Lagos a mega city, which was what they had in the plan in the last 10 years.”

PDP Crisis: I Wish People Know Wike – Ikpeazu Declares Amidst Ayu Chairmanship Tussle

Reactions Trail Atiku's Meeting With Wike, Ortom, Others In London

The Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu has shed more light on the reason he and some other Governors are demanding the resignation of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu.

Ikpeazu explained that it is a matter of principle and they are fighting for the future not only in the PDP but in Nigeria as a whole.

The Governor who spoke during an interview with The Nation said their stand is to demand inclusiveness, fairness and sensitivity.

He argued that having the leadership positions of the PDP concentrated in one particular ethnic group is not healthy, neither does it portray the party as having a national outlook.

According to him, Governor Nyesom Wike is a good man with good intentions who can’t be intimidated.

Ikpeazu lamented that it is unfortunate that some PDP members prefer cunning people who have one thing in mind and say something else rather than Wike who says his mind openly.

The Abia State Governor further warned the PDP not to ignore early warning signs as its actions or inactions would definitely attract consequences.

He said: “Three critical issues face us as a country; inclusivity or management of our diversity, economy and insecurity. Of all these three, the challenge that I want every candidate to focus on seriously is the problem of management of our diversity, youth inclusiveness, women inclusiveness, tribal and ethnic inclusiveness, and religious sensitivity and among others.

“They are important now because we are far more divided as a country than we have ever been in life.

“We can’t battle insecurity as it is now unless we come together as a united front in which case I will be bold and courageous enough to call a bad Igbo man a bad Nigerian.

“The man from Adamawa and Yobe State should be in the position to call a criminal from Yobe a bad Nigerian.”

It Should Be One Nigeria

Taking a swipe at the current government in Nigeria, Ikpeazu said leaders should be bold to face and address situations.

He argued that any form of segregation particularly that may be based on ethnicity or religion should not be encouraged as all citizens must be equal.

He stated that no Nigerian should be a second class citizen in his or her own country.

“A situation where if you come from a certain part of the country, your crime will have another name; bandit, but if you do the same thing in another part of Nigeria, you are tagged a terrorist, that situation cannot drive growth, inclusion and patriotism.

“We need to speak to that; we need men of integrity and men with courage and a new orientation as we present ourselves to the electorate.

“The electorate of today is not the same thing as the electorate of 2015 and so, we can come up with the same rhetoric; we just have to step up our game a little bit.

“I know that most Nigerians are good people, but we are amoebic; we can change like the weather changes.

“The better part of us is what the new paradigm calls, for now, that is why we are saying that we are presenting our candidate and nobody is questioning the candidate and his vice.”

I Am Not Dumping PDP

Governor Ikpeazu however ruled out the chances of dumping PDP for another party.

In his words, “We are saying that to market the party, can we tweak what we have already so that we can give our party the national outlook that it brags about? It will give comfort to all parts of the country because the PDP is the party that has the farthest reach and so, we need to ensure inclusiveness.

“I am a party man, I am not going anywhere, I will remain in the PDP, but it is good that I am in a place where I can ask those questions about what my people will naturally confront me with. That is why I also have some problems with some members of our party who do not see our point of view.”

Why I Am Supporting Wike Against Ayu

Ikpeazu added that he is part of those supporting Wike’s stand against Ayu because it is not a personal struggle.

He stressed that if they don’t tell themselves the truth now, Nigerians will tell them at the polls in 2023.

Whatever be the outcome, the Governor said he wants to be known to have stood for the right thing by demanding inclusiveness for the south.

“I am not going to support Wike to battle Atiku or Okowa. But, I will support Wike on principle to demand the inclusiveness of the Southeast, the Southsouth and the Southwest in the party.

“If what we have are mere promises that nobody is willing to compromise, it means that we have all decided to go to war with a limping rickety vehicle; that is our choice.

“But, if you put me in the position of the dramatis personnel, I will think differently. I thank God for a man like Wike and I wish people knew that Wike is a man of tomorrow; he is the kind of person that people should crave and look for. But, unfortunately, people love cunning individuals that won’t say anything but finally undermine you. Nobody wants to co-habitat with somebody that will give you an excuse of mind up front. Wike is much like the soldier ant that draws a straight line and walks along that straight line and in doing that with a gesture to say, just take the rest of the world and leave this straight line. If you step on this straight line, you will be forced to remove your trousers from the market. Maybe, other people will just keep quiet and the consequences will stare us in the face.

“So, if my party said that they owe any explanation to anybody and that this is what our party has become, these same questions that we are asking ourselves now, the ordinary Nigerians will ask us with their votes.

“But, I want to be in a position now that I have made my point and mark until this point where I can say to our people, the same question you ask, I have always asked,” Governor Ikpeazu submitted.

APC Keeps Mum On Release Of Newly-harmonised List Of Campaign Council

2023: Details Of Tinubu's Meeting With APC Govs, PCC, NWC Emerges

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has refused to release the names of members in the newly-harmonised list of the Presidential Campaign Council.

Recall that the 422-man campaign council released by the party had caused disaffection among the APC National Working Committee (NWC) and the governors of the party.

After series of meeting, the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, alongside other party stakeholders agreed to include more names to the council in order to appease aggrieved members.

In a chat with The Punch on Tuesday, the Director of Media and Publicity for the Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, Bayo Onanuga, said President Muhammadu Buhari would inaugurate the council on Friday.

He also stated that Buhari, who is also the Chairman of the campaign council, would launch Tinbu’s manifesto on Friday at the State House.

He, however, declined to speak on the choice of venue to kick off the party’s campaign rally and notable names in the newly-harmonised list of campaign council.

Both the campaign council and the manifesto will be launched on Friday. But I don’t have details on the other questions you raised,” he stated.

Recall that the Spokesman for the Presidential Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo, had said that a ‘region’ had been selected to launch the campaign but failed to disclose more information.

He had said, “We have agreed on the region to begin the campaign but I am not going to say that now. We have also addressed all the basic issues because we want to carry the leaders of the party along.

“For now, no date has been chosen (for PCC inauguration). But we will announce that sooner than you think.”

2023 Presidency: Tinubu Remains Only Successor To Buhari — Sani

Your Labour And Achievements For Nigeria Are Underrated - Tinubu Tells Buhari

The Senator representing Kaduna Central, Dr Uba Sani, has said the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, remains the best person to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.

Naija News reports that Sani, the 2023 gubernatorial candidate of the APC in Kaduna State, made this known during an interview with reporters in Kaduna, the state capital.

The APC chieftain said Tinubu’s performance at the interactive session for presidential candidates organised by the Arewa Joint Committee on Monday showed that he is the best successor of President Buhari.

Uba commended Tinubu for sharing his all-encompassing plans for the different sectors of the economy, while specifically addressing issues peculiar to Northern Nigeria.

He expressed confidence that the North will give the APC Presidential flagbearer total support in the forthcoming general election.

He said “The leading presidential candidate handled the questions thrown at him with confidence. His rich experience in governance and politics and understanding of our challenges and workable solution makes Asiwaju Tinubu the right man to take the baton from President Buhari in 2023.

“Above all, he is an inspirational leader and a man of ideas. Nigeria is in urgent need of men of ideas and those who can renew their faith in Nigeria and break new grounds”.
