Naija News reported that the incident happened along the Benin Auchi Road, Edo State.

A further report had it that the attack led to the death of seven people, including three police officers.

The legal adviser to the Ministry, Sam Amune while confirming the incident to Vanguard claimed that it was a case of the assassination attempt.

According to Amune, Apostle Suleman’s children were with him in his car when the incident happened.

Amune expressed sadness over the people that lost their lives in the attack.

Narrating the incident he said, “I think it is a case of an assassination attempt because the assailants who were in an Avalon and Sienna vehicles stopped other vehicles to reach Apostle Suleman’s convoy and they did not take anybody, the people just stopped and watched the drama unfolded.

“He just finished a programme in Tanzania the day before yesterday and flew to Lagos and then to Benin where his family joined him. His children normally drive in a separate vehicle but this time they drove with their father while other domestic staff drove in their vehicle. He barely escaped death but the others were not lucky, three orderlies who normally drive directly behind him and then the next vehicle were not lucky.

‘Pipeline Used In Crude Oil Theft Created Under Jonathan’s Administration – Keyamo’

2023: Why Keyamo, Others Should Resign As Ministers - PDP Chieftain

The spokesman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo has blamed former Goodluck Jonathan’s administration for oil theft in Nigeria.

The Minister of State for Labour and Employment on Friday said the recent discovery of oil theft in the country started under Jonathan’s government.

Keyamo made this claim while speaking during an interview on Channels TV on Friday evening.

The minister when asked to explain why crude oil was stolen under the APC administration, he claimed that the pipeline used for the illegal act was created by Jonathan’s administration.

Keyamo said, “This recent discovery of the pipe that they laid to steal crude oil, they said it was established 9 years ago and we are just out of astuteness and activeness we just discovered that pipeline now. So, who was in government nine years ago when that pipeline was established?”

There was a recent discovery of oil theft gulping about 73 million barrels annually due to pipeline vandalism and other crude oil criminal activities.

Investigations revealed that the country loses $7.3 billion on yearly basis to oil thieves and vandals.

Rivers: 346 Illegal Pharmacies, Medicine Shops Sealed

Over 313 unregistered illegal medicines and 33 unregistered pharmacies has been sealed by the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The Director and Head of the Enforcement Department in PCN, Stephen Esumobi, disclosed this during a briefing on Thursday evening that the closure was made after the medicine shops were inspected.

According to Esumobi, medicine shop owners and other stakeholders in the state have chosen to disregard public safety, hence the closure.

He added that PCN approved structures in states for effective engagement and regulation of stakeholders in the drug distribution chain across the country.

He noted that Pharmaceutical Inspection Committees and Patent and Proprietary Medicines Vendor Committees engaged and sensitized stakeholders on the need to comply with relevant regulations.

He said, “Most patent vendors are not registered with PCN and engage in activities far beyond their scope, thereby endangering public health.

“The national enforcement team has been in the state since the beginning of the week. At the end of the exercise, 543 premises were visited.

“These comprise 386 patent medicine shops and 157 pharmacists. A total of 379 premises were sealed, comprising 66 pharmacies and 313 patent medicine shops.

“It will interest you to note that we have been to only three local government areas; Port Harcourt city, Obio/Akpor, and Ikwerre, for now.

Esumobi said other misconducts that attracted the PCN hammer were poor access control to the “poison cupboards, poor storage facilities, stocking and sale of prescription and other ethical products by patent medicine vendors.”

He noted that ethical products have a very low margin of safety, adding, “Most times, when they are not dispensed under the supervision of the pharmacist, it could endanger the health of the patient.”

Esumobi further advised that people to ensure they buy drugs from registered and currently licensed pharmacies.

Buhari Vows To Be At Forefront Of APC’s Campaign

2023: APC Governorship Campaign Council Turn Down Appointment

President Muhammadu Buhari has today pledged his full support to the presidential campaign of the All Progressives Congress (APC) saying he will be at the forefront of the campaign.

According to him, it is paramount to retain APC in power in order to sustain the gains of the last seven years.

Naija News reports that President Buhari spoke at the inauguration of the APC’s Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) and the unveiling of Tinubu’s action plan in Abuja.

The President, who spoke before performing the ceremonies, also called on every member of the party to work for the success of the campaigns.

He said: ” It would be disastrous to allow a situation that will lead to the reversal of the progress our country has made. Let me add that I joyfully accept the position of the chairman of campaign council we are unveiling today.

“Our candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is too well known for his capacity and can-do spirit.

“He stands tall in his track records as a democrat, a champion of the rule of law, a man at home in every part of our country, and a truly visionary leader.

“I, therefore, want to assure all party members and supporters of our government that I will be at the forefront of this campaign.

“This election is even more important than the election of 2015 that brought us into power.

“The costs of losing the gains our country has made is much more than the need to stop the haemorrhage that led to our coming together nearly nine years ago,” President Buhari added.

PDP Denies Fresh Primaries In Ogun

Just In: Zamfara PDP Governorship Primary Election Nullified

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Working Committee (NWC) has distanced itself from an alleged new primary election organised by Jimi Lawal for the party’s governorship aspirants in Ogun state.

Following this, the Ogun state chapter of the party on Monday suspended Lawal and four other members of the party for conducting an “illegal primary election.”

Naija News gathered that PDP’s National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, had sent a disclaimer to the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) over the primary election on October 19, 2022, and it was acknowledged on October 20, 2022, by INEC.

Recall that the PDP NWC had appealed the judgment of an Abeokuta Federal High Court of September 27 that nullified all the primary elections earlier held by the PDP, asking the party to organise another primary within 14 days.

Therefore, the fresh primary election conducted by Lawal and his followers came as a shock to the NWC, that he would bypass the national body of the party to write INEC and conduct such a primary.

In a statement, co-signed by the National Secretary of the party, Samuel Anyanwu, Ayu noted that “we write to draw the attention of the Commission to a purported primary election conducted by some persons claiming to be State Executive Members of our party, allegedly held on Monday, October 17, 2022, in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

“This is coming days after the 14 days ordered by the Federal High Court for the party to conduct a fresh primary election.

“The 14 days ordered by the Federal High Court, Abeokuta division, within which the party was to conduct a fresh primary election lapsed on Tuesday, October 10, 2022, and no fresh primary was conducted in Ogun State, the party has resolved to go on appeal and rightly so.

“This, being our position, we were surprised to read both on print media and online media that some persons claiming to be part of a faction of the party conducted a fresh primary on behalf of the party on Monday, October 17, 2022, seven days after the 14 days ordered by the Federal High Court, Abeokuta division, which the party appealed against has lapsed.

“Section 50 of the Constitution of the Peoples Democratic Party (as amended in 2017) empowers the National Working Committee acting on behalf of the National Executive Committee to formulate guidelines and regulations for the nomination of candidates for election into public offices at all levels and shall be the final authority for resolving all disputes relating to the choice of candidates for the party for any election and for conveying to INEC or any other authority to whom it may concern, confirming the names or list of names of candidates of the party in any elective office in the federation. This section enjoys a plethora of judicial backing.

“The Act provided that all correspondences between the Commission and political parties must be signed by the National Chairman and National Secretary of the party and not state executives.

“We are, by this letter, notifying the commission of this illegality and to further inform the Commission that the NWC is dissociating itself from the said fresh primary election conducted by persons other than the NWC. We do not recognise these persons involved in this illegality.

“In view of the foregoing, the Commission is advised to refrain from accepting any letters or correspondences written on behalf of the party by any State Executive of Ogun State and should be circumspect in its dealings with these persons in the future.”

Nnamdi Kanu Should Be Free Already

Extraordinary Rendition: Nnamdi Kanu's Lawyer Gives Clarification On October 27 Judgement Day

Following the recent court ruling on the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, national dailies were awash with reports of wild jubilation in South-East villages, towns and cities. Apparently, it wasn’t just Kanu and IPOB sympathizers that were ecstatic about the judgment but residents whose lives, limbs and livelihoods have suffered a great deal on account of the Federal Government’s continued detention of the separatist leader. It is disheartening that the Buhari government is bent on taking this glimmer of relief from South-East folks and other lovers of peace in Nigeria.

On Thursday, October 13, the Court of Appeal in Abuja struck out the terrorism charges which the Nigerian government filed against Kanu and ordered his release from the State Security Service custody. The definitive verdict faulted the process through which the IPOB leader was brought before the court to answer to a 15-count terrorism charge. It held that Kanu’s abduction and rendition from Kenya violated the international convention on terrorism, thus, robbed any Nigerian court of the necessary jurisdiction.

In their audacious judgment, the three-man panel of the Appellate Court pointed out that the Federal Government, in its desperation to bundle the secessionist leader back home from Kenya, flagrantly breached every extradition procedure, which include a formal application for extradition to the host country, permission from the court, and statement of the alleged offences in connection with the extradition.

The Nigerian government, after Kanu’s rendition, arraigned him before Justice Binta Nyako on a 15-count terrorism charge, which the judge reduced to seven. The accused however faulted Nyako’s order to respond to the seven charges and went on Appeal where his lawyer, Mike Ozekhome SAN, recalled that on June 27, 2021, the Federal Government forcefully arrested and renditioned Kanu in a “most cruel and inhuman manner”.

Delivering its ruling, the Appeal Court upheld that the IPOB leader was “extra-ordinarily renditioned” to Nigeria and that the action was a flagrant violation of the country’s extradition treaty and a breach of his fundamental human rights. “By engaging in utter unlawful and illegal acts and in breach of its own laws in the instant matter, the Federal Government did not come to equity in clean hands and must be called to order. With appalling disregard to local and international laws, the Federal Government has lost the right to put the appellant trial for any offence,” read part of the lead judgment delivered by Justice Oludotun Adefope-Okojie.

Hinting almost immediately that the Buhari government won’t release Kanu despite this ruling, the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami SAN, argued that the Court of Appeal only discharged Kanu without acquitting him. “Let it be made clear to the general public that other issues that predate rendition on the basis of which Kanu jumped bail remain valid issues for judicial determination. The Federal Government will consider all available options open to us on judgment on rendition while pursuing determination of pre-rendition issues,” Malami said. But disagreeing with the AGF’s position, Ozekhome asserted that, “Nnamdi Kanu was set free and discharged by the Court of Appeal. The Supreme Court has said such a discharge amounts to discharge and acquittal”.

The National Security Council (NSC) has since aligned with the Attorney-General of the Federation on this issue. This happened in their last meeting attended by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo; SGF Boss Mustapha, NSA Babagana Monguno; the President’s Chief of Staff, Ibrahim Gambari; Defence minister Bashir Magashi; Interior minister Rauf Aregbesola; Defence chief Lucky Irabor; Army chief Farouk Yahaya; Naval chief Awwal Gambo; Air chief Oladayo Amao, IGP Usman Baba; DSS DG Yusuf Bichi; NIA DG Ahmed Abubakar; CDI Samuel Adedayo. If only there was a true reflection of the federal character in the gathering. The administration’s politics of exclusion ensures that no South-Easterner seats on the national security council, yet the President can’t see what is fuelling the discontent in Igboland.

Briefing newsmen on the outcome of their deliberations, the Minister of Police Affairs, Muhammad Dingyadi said, “the issue of Kanu has also been raised and Council was briefed on the state of things on the matter. And it was observed that Kanu was discharged but he is not acquitted. So, the government is considering the appropriate action to be taken on the matter.” How safer Nigeria would have been if the same hawkish stance is taken against terrorists and bandits who have made a living hell out of Nigeria!

Nigerians have since got the memo with the report that the Federal Government has filed seven grounds of appeal against the judgment, asking the Supreme Court to set aside the appellate court ruling and restore the charge against the respondent to be tried at the trial court. The government, in a motion on notice in support of the appeal, is also seeking a stay of execution of the judgment of the court presided over by Justice Jummai Sankey, pending the hearing and final determination of its appeal.

We find it duplicitous for this to be coming from the same government which argued elsewhere that ASUU cannot institute any application for a stay of execution without first obeying the court ruling that ordered its members back to the classrooms.

Naija News regrets that President Muhammadu Buhari is passing off a golden opportunity to save face and restore peace to the troubled South-East. The geopolitical zone has been reeling from the sit-at-home order that is religiously observed there every Monday. A good majority of those who celebrated the appellate court ruling did so not because they are sympathetic to the IPOB Leader but due to the hope of having their lives back without the curtailing of their movement and business any day of the week. It is sad that the President is taking these hopes from them, not minding the huge economic losses the country suffers every Monday when there is civil disobedience East of the Niger.

Strident calls have gone out for Buhari to embrace a political solution to the Nnamdi Kanu problem, which pundits believe his government created in the first place. Earlier in July, the United Nations, UN Human Rights Council Working Group on Arbitrary Detention, indicted both the Nigerian and Kenyan governments for the arrest and extraordinary rendition, torture and continued detention of Kanu without due process, urging the Nigerian government to ensure, “immediate release Kanu unconditionally”. It also demanded that the IPOB Leader be paid adequate compensation for the arbitrary violation of his fundamental rights.

Naija News recalls that last November highly respected Igbo Greats led by First Republic parliamentarian and Aviation Minister, Chief Mbazulike Amaechi visited Buhari to beg for the unconditional release of Kanu. In his response, the President told the 93-year-old statesman that, “the best thing was to subject him (Kanu) to the system. Let him make his case in court, instead of giving very negative impressions of the country from outside. I feel it’s even a favour to give him that opportunity.” Since the IPOB Leader has now made his case in court, Buhari should release Kanu and save the taxpayers’ money to be spent prosecuting an appeal at the apex court.

Buhari and his administration’s intransigence in handling the Kanu matter even in the face of the latest Appeal Court ruling justifies the decision by a section of the media to address him by his ‘retired major general’ rank and his government as a regime. In any case, those in authority today should not be blind to the fact that power is transient. A more or less lame-duck regime shouldn’t miss a means to ameliorate a mess and leave a good legacy. This newspaper, therefore, joins other well-meaning Nigerians to call on President Buhari to obey the appeal court ruling that frees Nnamdi Kanu. Though in its twilight, we also demand that the government be even-handed in the manner it stirs the ship of state.

Activists and conscientious citizens who are indifferent about the Buhari government doing the right thing on this Nnamdi Kanu matter must remember the immortal words of Martin Luther King Jr that “injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere”. They should also know that the whole body is affected when one part suffers. This newspaper also recommends to Buhari and his hawks the assertion by Aristotle that: “it is not enough to win a war; it is more important to organize the peace“. It is our considered view that Buhari shouldn’t bequeath the unrest in the South-East to the next administration.

The governorship candidate of the Young Progressive Party (YPP) in Delta State, Sunny Ofehe, has said the All Progressive Congress (APC) and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) will both be disappointed in 2023 over their so call ‘structure’ that they so much depend on.

Naija News reports that Ofehe at the unveiling of his deputy governorship candidate, Elohor Edafe-Erede in Asaba, said “when people talk about structure, I wonder what they mean by structure. The so-called big party banking on structure, I tell you that come 2023, the structure they are banking on will fall them.

“Nigerians are wise now and it won’t be business as usual following the new Electoral Act. So these parties that think they have structure will be disappointed come 2023.

“YPP unveiled my running mate to the public, a young lady who has distinguished herself. I present my running mate Barr. Mrs Elohor Edafe-erede to you.

“It is time for us to take the leadership of our state and give to our state what our state duly deserves.”

The YPP Delta governorship candidate, however, debunked rumours of being sponsored to dislodge a particular candidate.

ASUU Strike: Lecturers Recount How They Survived On ‘Cooperative’ Monies And Support From Spouses

ASUU Gives One Condition FG Must Meet To Call Off Strike

Some Nigerian lecturers have come out to bare their minds on how tough things were for them during the eight-month period of the strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

According to some of these lecturers, it wasn’t easy to survive with their families considering the situation of the country and the fact they were placed on the no work, no pay policy by the federal government.

Naija News learnt that some of the public university lecturers were reported to have said most of them depended on their spouses, monies from coperative societies and dependence on others to cater for their families during the eight-month period of the strike.

For some of them the eight months of strike offered them free time to embark on different pursuits including research and others.

A cross-section of these university dons bared their minds about what life was for them during the strike.

For the Director of the Distance Learning Centre, University of Ibadan (UI), Prof. Emmanuel Omobowale, “it has been by God’s grace. Spouses and hustling and cooperatives gave palliatives and loans to members. Coperatives also paid dividends to members. It has been fantastic. It has helped a lot.”

Femi Ajayi of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun State, said “those seven months could be likened to seven years of famine in Egypt during the time of Moses in the Bible.

‘’My coping strategies were reducing my expenses and no movement beyond my neighbourhood. Food consumption was reduced and bills were not paid sometimes. Requests were kept in view.

“Coping facilities were obtained from my union and cooperative society.

“Subscriptions were suspended. My farm became a source of vegetables and some food products.”

On his part, Dr Stephen Lafenwa of the political science department at UI had this to say “we have been using cooperative societies to take care of our needs. The cooperatives have been useful for us. We have some money and commodities. Although some of us have our wives working.”

Prof. Adewale Yagboyaju in UI too, said “I engaged in research and community development activities. It was a great opportunity to complete some ongoing research works and it enabled one’s efforts to pay off by way of journal publications. It also enhanced the search for new information and knowledge,” the Guardian reported.

Man Goes Spiritual For Ex-Lover Who Dumped Him After Sending Her To School

An aggrieved man who spent all his fortune to ensure his lover, a middle-aged lady gets educated, has gone to ‘summon the gods’ after she dumped him for being uneducated.

Naija News reports that the gods allegedly responded, sending a colony of millipedes to the lady’s house at Atimbo, Calabar Municipal Local Government Area, in Cross River State.

It was gathered that the aggreived man sent a colony of millepedes which was the traditional way of ”summons” according to Vanguard to invade the lady’s apartment.

An eyewitness, who didn’t want his name in print, said: “She refused to marry the man who saw her through the university, when she got back as a graduate she started behaving funny to the man.

“From what we heard, she told her ex-lover that she can no longer marry him because she cannot end up with an illiterate husband. The man could not stomach the betrayal any longer and then decided to go spiritual.

“We believe the man went to their deity and summoned her from there, somewhere in Akwa Ibom (Oron). So, from the note that came with the colony of millipede she must go and explain herself or face the consequence which may not be too good.

“As I speak to you she has left the house, I saw her this morning, but the Summons(a colony of millipedes) appeared at her doorstep last night ( Wednesday).”

Another eyewitness, who pleaded anonymity, said she must pay the cost incurred by her ex-boyfriend before the cleansing will be carried out else her life might be in grave danger.

“If any of the millipedes is killed intentionally she will perform a full burial rite and also buy a coffin and do all the ceremony involved,“ he said.

Holland And Uruguay Becomes First Country To Name Provisional World Cup Squads

Holland And Uruguay Becomes The First Country To Name Provisional World Cup Squads

Holland and Uruguay have become the first two countries to release their provisional squad for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

The Oranje and the Uruguayan have named their squads as nations prepare to unveil who will compete in Qatar this winter.

While Uruguay chose to send FIFA a complete list of all 55 players, all nations were required to send out their squads today.

The Oranje named a 39-man group that will compete for a spot at the World Cup.

On their list, Holland put players like Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk, Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong, Steven Bergwijn who formerly plays for Tottenham Hotspur, and Manchester United’s Tyrell Malacia.

Despite withdrawing from the Under-21 squad last month to concentrate on playing for the Magpies, Newcastle defender Sven Botman is also included in the squad.

U-17 World Cup: Edafe Scores To Advance Nigeria To Its First-Ever Semifinal

The Flamingos of Nigeria advanced on Friday to their first-ever semi final after a 1-1 draw against USA in regulation time thanks to Edafe Omamuso’s winning penalty.

Due to lightning, the game was initially postponed, and players and officials from both teams went back to their dressing rooms DY Patil Stadium.

After numerous attempts by both teams to score and the flamingos to extend their lead, the game ultimately ended in a draw.

10 minutes into the game, USA’s Jackson attempted a long shot but missed the Nigerian goal by a narrow margin.

7 minutes later, the Americans got close once more, but the Nigerian goalkeeper, Faith Omilana saved the day.

Following a VAR review, the Flamingos were awarded a penalty kick after an American fouled Amina Bello inside the box.

Edafe scored the game’s first goal from the penalty spot to put the Flamingos ahead.

There had been rumours that Atiku’s trip to France was because of ill health but his media aide, Paul Ibe dismissed such rumours, saying his principal travelled for a business trip.

Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode had claimed Atiku collapsed after returning to Abuja from the PDP presidential campaign rally in Kaduna on Monday and had to be hurriedly flown out of the country for medical attention.

However, Ibe in a statement on Tuesday said: “The former Vice President travelled last night on a scheduled trip to meet with the technical partners of one his business entities that was impacted by the Covid-19 global lockdown and the consequent economic downturn.

“The meeting will also focus on conclusive discussions for a planned expansion of its production facility.”

Suspended Campaign: Everything About Peter Obi’s Movement Is A Scam – Bwala

The spokesman for the Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign Organisation, Daniel Bwala, has said that the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi and his Obidient movement cannot be trusted.

Bwala stated this while reacting to the suspension of the LP’s campaign due to the flood situation in some parts of the country.

Naija News recalls that Obi announced the suspension of his campaign when he visited the Governor of Benue state, Samuel Ortom in Abuja on Wednesday.

The former Anambra Governor also called on his counterparts in other political parties to follow in his footsteps.

He opined that if the candidates can purchase their party’s expression of interest form for millions of Naira, they should be able to render help to the victims who lost their belongings during the flooding.

He said, “I personally stopped and told my people no more campaign, until we are able to visit some of the sites, at least sympathise with those going through problems.

“I came to take permission and ask him (Ortom) that I want to visit some of the sites in Benue as I am going to do in one or two other states.

“I am also calling other presidential candidates to stop campaigning and see what we can do.

“If we can buy our forms for millions of naira, we should have some little thing to go, now that people are suffering, and at least show sympathy with them and then we can continue.”

Reacting to Obi’s declaration, Bwala shared a picture on Twitter of the LP flag bearer wearing clothes that have the Labour Party insignia.

He wrote, “Scam; he said he has put campaigns on hold to visit victims of flood. See him here with Labour Party logo. Everything about that movement is a scam.”

Why I Dropped Cristiano Ronaldo From The Travelling Squad – Erik Ten Hag

Why I Dropped Cristiano Ronaldo From The Travelling Squad - Erik Ten Hag

Manchester United manager, Erik Ten Hag, has admitted that he left Cristiano Ronaldo out of the travelling squad because he didn’t live up to the standards he had set.

After refusing to come off the bench on Wednesday, as Sportsmail reported on Thursday, and storming down the tunnel before leaving Old Trafford before the end of the game, Ronaldo has then been punished by Ten Hag.

The coach confirmed that the player declined to come in as a substitute in the game against Tottenham during his pre-match conference before the weekend match against Chelsea.

The 37-year-old Ronaldo was omitted from the squad for the trip to London on Saturday and banned from first-team training by the Dutchman, who reacted quickly and firmly.

For the benefit of the team, Ten Hag also admitted that he sidelined Ronaldo for the match at Stamford Bridge.

He claimed that after the player received a warning for leaving the field early in a pre-season friendly against Rayo Vallecano, he had no option other than to act.

“I am the manager, I am responsible for top spot culture here and I have to set standards and values and I have to control them,” he said.

“In the team, we have values and standards and I have to control that. After Vallecano, I told him it was unacceptable but not him everyone, this is the second time, there are consequences.”

The Dutchman admitted that the five-time Ballon d’Or winner will be missed in the squad, but the standards he has set are more important.

“We miss him tomorrow, it’s a miss for the squad but it’s important for the attitude and mentality of the group and now we have to focus on Chelsea as that is important,” he said.

“I think it will have a (time for) reflection for him, but also for everyone else, I sent a warning at the start of the season, next time there have to be consequences otherwise when you are living together when you are playing together, football is a team sport and you have to fulfil certain standards. And I have to control it,” said the Dutch tactician.

Following the saga at Old Trafford on Wednesday night, Ronaldo arrived with the under-21s on Friday and underwent one-on-one training with a fitness coach to get used to life in exile at United.
