It has continued to rain congratulations for Davido’s personal logistics manager, Israel Afeare, popularly known as Israel DMW as he walks down the aisle with his heartthrob, today, October 22rd in Benin.

Naija News earlier reported that the Isreal DMW traditionally tied the knot with his lover.

This comes months after the controversial logistics manager shared a video of his lover showing off her engagement ring.

“And she said yes,” he had captioned the video.

“From a simple dinner to an engagement night,” his girlfriend said in the video.

Israel, who proposed to his girlfriend at the Protea Hotel in Benin City, Edo State, officially married her in the presence of family and friends this weekend.

Meanwhile, popular music producer, Collins Micheal Ajereh also known as Don Jazzy, has disclosed the most spontaneous thing he has ever done.

The Mavin record producer, during an interview with Clout Africa, stated that he once had s3x on the third mainland bridge.

The Mavin record boss disclosed this when he was asked the most spontaneous thing he had ever done. The third Mainland Bridge is the longest of three bridges connecting Lagos Island to the mainland.

The star maker further revealed that if given a chance to exchange selves with anyone for 24 hours, it would be Elon Musk; the world’s richest man.

The Divisional Police Officer of Auchi Division, Ayodele Suleiman has been removed by the Commissioner of Police in Edo State, Abutu Yaro for allegedly killing a suspect arrested for attacking the convoy of General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministry, Apostle Johnson Suleman.

The suspended DPO is expected to report at the state police command for debriefing.

The Deputy Public Relations Officer of the command, Jennifer Iwegbu in a statement said the DPO’s withdrawal was part of the measures to unravel the circumstances that led to the death of one of the suspects.

Iwegbu, “The outgoing CP now AIG Abutu Yaro has ordered the withdrawal of CSP Ayodele Suleiman, DPO Auchi for debriefing at the State Headquarters with immediate effect.”

He called on members of the public to remain calm and patient, assuring that no stone would be left unturned in the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Naija News had earlier reported that Apostle Suleman claimed that the suspect arrested by vigilantes and handed over to the police was reportedly killed by the security agency.

The cleric in a post on his Twitter account accused the police of trying to erase all evidence that could lead to the arrest of his attackers.

Controversial media personality, Daddy Freeze has reacted to the assassination attempt against the life of the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International, Apostle Johnson Suleman.

Naija News earlier reported that the clergyman was returning from a trip on Friday evening when the gunmen opened fire on his convoy

The development led to the death of seven persons.

“I just escaped an assassination attempt where seven people were killed. My car was attacked, they opened fire on my car and kept spraying it with bullets.

“My wife and my kids were there. The escort car was (of the) police. They killed the policeman, they killed the other people in the escort car and the buses with us.

“Seven people who were moving in the convoy were killed. People who did this are expecting me to come out and mention their names, so they’ll come out and deny it. I won’t do that.

“But the truth of the matter is this, you can’t kill me,” the cleric had said while blaming his detractors for the attack

Reacting to that, Daddy Freeze on Saturday via his Instagram handle expressed sadness over the incident whilst extending his prayers and condolence to the clergyman.

He said: ‘‘My condolence to my dear brother @johnson_suleman_official, his family and the family of those who lost their lives in that tragic incident. Our prayers are with you! This is so sad.”

Nollywood actress, Peggy Ovire has broken silence following her engagement with her colleague turned lover, Frederick Leonard. 

Naija News reports that Frederick, on Friday went public with their romance as he celebrated Peggy’s birthday on his social media page.

Frederick was later seen in a video sighted on his knees proposing to Peggy Ovire, to which she answers a resounding yes, at the cheering excitement of other  Nollywood actors present at the event.

Taking to Instagram, Peggy gushed over Frederick’s love stating that he was her first best friend.

She further appreciated him for loving her despite her stubbornness, praying that God’s favour never departs from his life.

She wrote: “You were first my best friend, you always said ‘Peggy I’ll make you a happy woman’ keep praying for me. I’ll give you the finest things in life. I’ll love you, right? Fear grips residents of the Azikoro community in Yenagoa, the capital of Bayelsa state, as corpses were seen floating on flood water.

Naija News reports that the corpses sighted on the water were being exhumed by floods from the community’s cemetery.

This has caused panic as well as worry because residents of the Azikoro community fear any outbreak of infections from chemicals used by the authorities during the reburial of the washed-up corpses.

A source in the area who pleaded anonymity said the chemicals applied and the stench from decomposing corpses posed serious health hazards to residents.
The source who is a prominent politician begged the government to relocate the cemetery from its present location after the floods because it is flood-prone.

He said, “may I call on the government to provide relief items for the residents and relocate the cemetery after the flood.”
A cross-section of residents bares their mind on their fears aside from the horrifying sight of the corpses.

A resident who identified himself as Ebi narrated that the sight of the corpses was like a horror movie that gave him goose pimples all over his body.

He said “The first was a casket with a decomposing corpse inside. Then the second corpse came out without a casket and the third corpse with a wrapper near the body.

“Initially, we were confused. Later an idea came to us that we should find a way to retrieve the corpses and take them to a corner outside the cemetery that was not as flooded as the graveyard. We did so and some persons informed the authorities.

“Later, the government officials came and reburied the corpses. After that, they fumigated everywhere.”

According to him, he has been emotionally traumatised from the incident and seeing those corpses floating on the water has weighed him down physically, emotionally and psychologically.

Another resident Angela Moses said she still dreams of the sight of the incident.
She advanced that even though the corpses had been reburied, the stench from the decomposing bodies still permeates the environment.

Moses, who appealed to the government to evacuate residents of the community said “I want to appeal to the government and relevant authorities to come to the aid of residents in whichever way possible. We are really facing terrible times now. We need help badly.”

Meanwhile, the State commissioner for environment, Iselema Gbaranbiri, confirmed that three floating corpses were recovered from the scene.

Gbaranbiri, who is also the chairman of the Bayelsa Flood Management Committee, said the corpses had been reburied and the environment adequately fumigated.

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar will commence a tour of states with high incidents of flooding across all geo-political zones in the country on Tuesday.

A press release by his Media Adviser, Paul Ibe states that the PDP presidential flag bearer shall be visiting Bayelsa State, to kickstart the tour.

According to Ibe, “the tours to states ravaged by flooding become incumbent in view of the trauma that the incidents have caused its victims.

“Consequently, the tours will provide the presidential candidate the opportunity to have an on-sight impact assessment of these flooding incidents and give him a veritable window to input those ecological concerns in his policy documents.”

Recall that the PDP presidential candidate had supported flood victims in Jigawa, Yobe and Kano long before now.

He was also the first candidate to speak on the issue and had counselled that persons living around the most vulnerable areas be temporarily evacuated following the alert by the meteorological agency that a further 24 states faced the risk of major flooding.

Naija News reports that the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, had called on other presidential flagbearer to suspend their campaign in respect to Nigerians suffering the effect of flooding.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, has made another incoherent statement.

Naija News reports that this is coming barely two weeks after Tinubu compared ‘poisonous Holy communion’ to climate change during an interactive session with Arewa Committee in Kaduna State.

The former Governor of Lagos State during the presentation of the campaign manifesto on Friday in Abuja said Nigerians against borrowings by President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration should stop using Mercedes Benz and Lexus brands of vehicles.

He said: “I stand before you proudly, noting that those who are afraid of the budget, the thoughts of borrowing. Yes, borrowing. If borrowing is a crime, entire America should be in jail. If borrowing is a crime, stop using Mercedes Benz and Lexus” 

This left many Nigerians confused online as to the correlation between the usage of particular brands of vehicles and concerns about huge national debts.

Sosoliso plane crash survival, Kechi Okwuchi, has said she will not be bullied into believing she is less because of her looks.

Naija News reports that the singer disclosed this in a post shared on her Twitter page alongside a new photo.

Former America’s Got Talent contestant said that she will not think less of herself based on the fact that she does not fit the conventional beauty standard in society.

Kechi Okwuchi added that everyone’s perception of her is rightfully theirs and it does not sway her value because she deserves to take up space in the world.

She wrote: “1 thing I’ll never do is allow myself to be bullied into believing I am less solely based on the fact that I don’t fit conventional beauty standards.

“Your perception of me is rightfully yours, but it does not sway my value. I deserve to take up space in this world! We ALL do.”

Apostle Suleman Escapes Death As Gunmen Attack Convoy

The convoy of the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, on Friday evening, was attacked by gunmen along the Benin Auchi Road, Edo State.

According to reports, the clergyman was returning from a trip when the gunmen opened fire on his convoy killing seven persons including three policemen.

Suleman’s lawyer, Samuel Amune, who confirmed the attack to the Punch, said that the cleric just returned from a programme abroad, adding that he escaped death by a whisker.

Nigerian skit maker, Kingsley, was reportedly robbed at gunpoint in the wee hours of Saturday.

The comedian was in the company of his family at his residence in Lagos State, when unknown gunmen broke into his home through the kitchen and carted away valuables.

The skitmaker made the disclosure via his Instagram page on Saturday morning.

He said: “I was robbed this morning after some heavily armed men broke into my house, through my kitchen.

“I and my family were held at gunpoint while the operation last for more than an hour.

“Nobody was hurt. Valuables were taken, including the cash I wanted to use to bury my grandmother,  which i was to send to my mother. 

“My costumes for my skits were also taken, all of them.”

“They collected my wife’s phone. Even the phone of my younger sister was collected

“A report has been made at the police station and they have started their investigations,” Kingsley added.

Pastor Slums, Dies In Kogi

Meanwhile, the pastor in charge of Living Faith in Lokoja, Pastor Fred Attabo on Friday died at age 68.

The associate pastor of the church, Edwin Okolo while confirming Attabo’s death described it as “very shocking.”

Okolo, however, did not disclose much detail about the death of Pastor Attabo but promised to release a statement.

Naija News learnt that Attabo slumped and died in his office shortly after a morning prayer programme held at the church at Lokogoma, in the Lokoja metropolis of Kogi.

A parishioner who spoke on the incident said, “Our senior pastor slumped in his office shortly after Friday’s Covenant Hour of Prayer this morning.

“When it happened, we took him to the Specialist Hospital, Lokoja, for medical attention.

“We accepted his death in good faith and have taken his body to the mortuary at Specialist Hospital, Lokoja.”
