2023: Peter Obi Explains Why His Manifesto Is Delayed

2023: What Obi’s Sudden Popularity Means For Nigeria - The Economist

The Presidential flag bearer for the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has revealed the delay in the publication of his presidential election manifesto for 2023.

Naija News earlier reported that the former governor of Anambra State declared that his party’s manifesto was 95% finished and would be released soon. Obi stated that before releasing his manifesto, “he was waiting for the positions of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and the Trades Union Congress, TUC.” For delaying the release of his presidential campaign council for the 2023 election, the LP presidential candidate has come under fire. The LP presidential candidate revealed in an interview with BBC that the country has many ideas and well-documented policy programmes that have been rendered ineffective because there isn’t enough political will to carry them out. The Labour Party’s manifesto will be unveiled “sometime next week,” according to Doyin Okupe, the director-general of Peter Obi’s presidential campaign, who also noted that it will be unique from other political parties’ manifestos.
