Wike Cannot Father A Child Alleged Statement – APC Sends Strong Warning To Ayu

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has warned the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national chairman, Iyorchia Ayu against spreading false narratives about the party.

The APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka issued a cautionary statement on Tuesday to this effect.

Wike Cannot Father A Child

Naija News recalls that Ayu had earlier denied a statement attributed to him which states that the Rivers state Governor Nyesom Wike could not father a child. In a statement on Saturday, the former Senate President distanced himself from the social media posts which quoted him as demeaning Wike.

APC’s Response

Reacting to Ayu’s response, the APC said that the PDP chairman alleged that mischievous persons from the ruling party were planting such stories in the media and stoking the feud between him and Wike. Morka argued that Ayu’s mindset was the reason the crisis in the PDP continues to worsen under his watch. He insisted that the ruling party does not plant stories nor meddle in the affairs of other parties. He said, “As he struggled to deny a statement credited to him that Governor Wike could not father a child, Ayu alleged, ridiculously, that the APC and “other mischievous people” were planting such stories in the media and stoking the feud between him and the Rivers State Governor.Understandably, Chairman Ayu is deep in quicksand and swinging wildly in search of third parties to blame for the internal combustion in the party that he leads. With such an escapist mindset, it is not difficult to see why the meltdown in the PDP has proven intractable on his watch. Lacking forthrightness and character to accept responsibility for the crisis in his party, how can he possibly resolve it?”That is an area of extreme and unrivaled competence of the PDP. In any event, the PDP is unraveling unstoppably and needs no help from the outside.” He went on to advice the PDP to focus on settling the rift plaguing the party instead of making baseless accusations. Morka wondered why the opposition which had failed to set things in order within its house feel they have the capability to govern the country. “After 16 years of ruthless misgovernance and crass failure to reform and reposition itself, quite frankly, the PDP stands morally disqualified from asking Nigerians for their votes in the next general election,” he said.
