Coach Dare was said to have completed the challenge in two hours and 33 minutes and fifty seconds, to raise awareness about mental health issues, particularly suicide, and depression, which had triggered many to jump into the Lagoon.

This was disclosed in a video shared by a social media user #MeetPrinceAhmad, via his X handle on Saturday, March 30.

According to the video caption, Couch Dare defied all odds to swim the 11.8km length of the third Mainland Bridge in 2 hours, 33 minutes, and 50 secs.

“Today, the 30th March, 2024. A young man defied all odds and daringly swam the 11.8km length of the third mainland bridge in 2hrs33mins50 secs.”

Significantly enough, the Third Mainland Bridge is known as the longest of three bridges connecting Lagos Island to the mainland. Other bridges are the Eko and Carter bridges.
