Step to Step Guide on Checking Your JAMB Result Via SMS

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has recently introduced a simplified method for checking the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results via SMS, eliminating the need for candidates to visit CBT centers or cybercafés.

This announcement was made by JAMB’s registrar, Ishaq Oloyede, during a press conference in Abuja.

To conveniently receive your UTME results on your phone, follow these easy steps:

1.Use the Registered Phone Number: It’s crucial to use the phone number that you registered with JAMB to ensure the results are sent to the correct recipient.

2. Send a Text Message: Text the word UTMERESULT to either 55019 or 66019.

3. Receive Your Results: You will receive a response with the format: ‘Dear Candidate X, your result is as follows: [details of your results].’

This method is designed to be straightforward and fast, providing students with their results directly on their mobile phones without any additional hassle.

In related news, JAMB also disclosed that out of all candidates, 8,401 have scored 300 and above in the 2024 UTME, demonstrating a notable achievement. Moreover, JAMB has made the 2024 UTME notification slips available for printing, and has been proactive in identifying and dealing with 1,665 fake A-Level results during this examination cycle.
