LaLiga President, Javier Tebas has said the league will welcome Paris Saint-Germain forward, Kylian Mbappe if he joins Real Madrid.
Naija News earlier reported that the Frenchman’s relationship with Les Parisiens is completely broken, and he will most likely leave the club in January. Reacting to the claims, PSG Sporting Director, Luis Campos, debunked reports that French International wants to leave the club in January. Last June, it was anticipated that Mbappe would sign for Real Madrid on a free transfer, putting an end to a long-drawn saga that saw him rise to the top of Florentino Perez’s priority list. According to ESPN, the star forward turned down Real Madrid at the eleventh hour to remain with Paris Saint-Germain in May, leaving them in the dust. The LaLiga club is now concentrating on other targets, according to sources, who claimed Madrid has no plans to revive their long-standing interest in Mbappe. However, a move cannot be completely ruled out should he become available. In an interview with ESPN, Tebas said if Real Madrid were to move forward with a transfer, the league will appreciate a player of Mbappe’s quality. He said: “When I talk about Madrid, I do it thinking of most of their fans, who always are looking for exceptional players and top-world quality. And Mbappe is one of those players. “I can see it’s difficult for the club because it hurts what he did to Madrid in the summer. “But I don’t think fans are going to say no to adding such a player to their squad. If Mbappe comes, he will be applauded, cheered, followed. … I am convinced.”
