JUST IN: Abductors of Ogun Community Leader Demand N100m Ransom

Following the announced abduction of a community leader in Imope town, Ijebu-North Local Government Area of Ogun State, Tajudeen Omotayo, in couple of days,the abductors have demanded N100 million ransom to release him.

According to Source, the community leader was abducted while returning from Ijebu-Ode in his vehicle marked W 3J9 on last Saturday.

He was reportedly accosted at the Oke-Eri area of Imope, pulled out, and taken to an unknown destination, leaving his vehicle on the Ijebu–Ode–Oru– Ibadan road.

However, a source in Imope town who pleaded anonymity further revealed on Monday, that the kidnappers have reached out to the family and demanded a sum of N200 million.

“After so many pleas by the family, the abductors reduced the ransom to N100 million”.

“The abductors have reached out to the family and demanded N200 million. But, as of today, they are insisting on N100 million as ransom.”

The growing cases of abduction in various states across the country have injected palpable tensions in the communities.

Meanwhile, as government put plans underway towards stepping up actions in curtailing the incessant banditary, kidnapping etc in the country, citizens are also urged to be vigilant to always pass reliable information to the security agents when found scenarios of suspicious activities or movements around their be immediate environment.
