The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and his counterpart in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, met in Abuja on Thursday.

Naija News reports that the former Governor of Lagos State and the former Vice President met at the VVIP lounge of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. In a video seen by our reporter, both presidential candidates were seen exchanging pleasantries and banters following attacks on PDP supporters in Zamfara State. Tinubu, who was on his way to Kaduna State for the Arewa Joint Committee Interactive Session, was accompanied by his running mate and former Governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima and APC chieftains. Meanwhile, Tinubu has asked Atiku to step down and endorse him for the 2023 presidency. He made the call during an interractive session with leaders from the Northern part of the country under the umbrella of the Arewa Joint Committee.

The program which was organized by a coalition of six groups including the Arewa Consultative Forum, Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation, Northern Elders Forum, Jamar Matan Arewa, among others took place at the Arewa House in Kaduna.

The APC flagbearer urged Atiku to remember the good deed he rendered to him in 2007 and endorse him.
