The tomb is the most important religious site for Persian Jews, a small community under severe pressure from the Islamic Republic in Iran.
Consequent to the attacks, palpable tensions envelop the city as the threats and attacks grow unabated.
Reacting to the development, are Christian commentators who decry the raging religious bigotry and jingoism that birthed the gospel of hate and crisis among different faiths in the world.
