Police Arrest Gunman at Popular Hotel in Awka

In a proactive bid to keep and sustain peace and tranquility in the state capital and its environs, Surveillance Operatives of Anambra State Police Command have arrested a lone gunman at a popular hotel (name withheld) in Awka.

The Surveillance Operatives reportedly observed the man roaming around the premises on the weekend, accosted him, and searched for his personality.

Consequently, one English-made pistol and three rounds of live ammun!tion were recovered from him.

The suspect who gave his name as Akuchieani Echezona, a male resident of Ifite Awka, was disarmed, arrested, and taken into custody.
