Nigeria records 84 new COVID-19 cases, total hits 163736
As Nigeria continues its fight against Coronavirus, 84 new cases of the deadly virus have been recorded in 13 states, making the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases 163,736.
This was announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control in its daily update on Saturday night shared on his official Twitter page.
According to the new report, about 27 patients have been discharged after testing negative twice for the virus.
So far, the country has recorded 154,098 recoveries while about 2,060 patients have died due to complications from the dreaded virus.

In other news, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that the Director-General of the World Health Organisation (WHO), Tedros Ghebreyesus has requested developing countries to avoid politicising the COVID-19 pandemic.
This request was made by the WHO DG, Ghebreyesus while speaking at the last session of the 2021 International Monetary Fund (IMF) spring meetings on Friday.
The WHO boss said politicising the pandemic will do more harm to the world.
