IPOB’s Publicity Sec, Powerful Reacts to Alleged Arrest in Ghana, Slams Ekpa, Others

The Media and Publicity Secretary of the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, Comr. Emma Powerful has publicly refuted allegations of his arrest in Ghana, countering claims made by Simon Ekpa, a Finland-based advocate for Biafra’s secession and self-proclaimed Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic Government-in-Exile (BRGIE).

Ekpa had earlier announced on social media that Powerful was arrested in Ghana, sparking widespread speculation.

In a revealing conversation with SaharaReporters, Powerful dismissed Ekpa’s assertions as baseless, questioning the plausibility of being arrested while still actively engaging with the media. He suggested that Ekpa’s allegations stem from a desire for attention and relevance, which he believes Ekpa has lost within the secessionist movement.

Powerful’s response to the arrest rumors was firm and composed, emphasizing the improbability of issuing press statements if he were indeed in custody. His remarks aim to clarify the situation and reduce the spread of misinformation surrounding his supposed arrest, while also highlighting the internal disputes and dynamics within the Biafra secessionist movement.
