How two officers lost their lives in Kastina state.

Two immigration officers have been reported dead after a gun duel with bandits in Kadobe village, Jibia Local Government Area of Kastina state.

The dead immigration officers whose names were given to be Umar Bagadaza Kankara and Lauwali Dutse were said to have lost their lives during an exchange of gunfire in the early hours of Thursday.

De Erudite correspondent gathered that the duel started around 12:07am on Thursday when the bandits stormed the National Immigration Service base in the area. In an effort to repel the attack, the two officers lost their lives.

It was also gathered that Soldiers who were close to the base reinforced the Immigration officers to combat the bandits, in which one of them sustained a gunshot injury.

Many bandits were also killed and injured, however, they were able to escape with their dead and injured members.
