The Anambra State Fire Service swiftly responded to a distress call received at approximately 9:39 PM, according to Chief Safety Officer Engr Martin Agbili. The firefighting team successfully extinguished the blaze and concluded their operation around 11:18 PM.

The cause of the fire remains unknown. Chief Agbili noted that although the fire service’s primary focus was on controlling and extinguishing the fire, a comprehensive investigation involving multiple agencies would be necessary to ascertain the origin of the incident.
