Court sends Ondo man to jail for allegedly raping mentally-unstable woman
One Gboyega Awoyinka has been arraigned for allegedly raping Rhoda Adeboye, a woman with mental disabilities, inside a cocoa farm.

He was accused of committing the crime at Kajola-Ojurin, Ore axis in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
He pleaded not guilty to the one count case of rape that was brought against him.
Inspector Jimmy Amuda, the police prosecutor, requested permission from the court to transmit the case file to the Director of Public Prosecutions, DPP, office for legal counsel.
Magistrate Ikusika, however, remanded the defendant to the Okitipupa Correctional Center pending the disclosure of the DPP’s legal advice.
The case was subsequently adjourned till 30, 2022.
