The National Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dayo Israel has called on the party’s supporters in Adamawa state to come out en masse and support their presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.

The APC chieftain said the defection is a sign that the party is gaining grounds ahead of the 2023 election and would cruise to victory in the February election.

He said, “Adamawa State will be a major chapter in the story of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s emergence as the next President of Nigeria in 2023.

“It will be said of him that his popularity was so great, and his victory so total, that even the home state of his major contender deemed him better deserving of the nation’s highest office, and rightly so. Naija News understands that the monarch had served in the Nigerian Navy and retired as a Lieutenant commander in 2002 before he ascended the throne years after.

The former naval officer shared his ordeal with journalists and said he resorted to sleeping in his car after the flood wrecked his palace.

“I have been sleeping in my Toyota Sienna for two weeks since the flood ravaged the palace. It reached the knee level and made the palace uninhabitable,” His Highness Poubinafa told newsmen in Tungbo on Monday.

“My family has been relocated to Yenagoa. As the Captain on board (traditional ruler) this vessel, I cannot abandon my subjects to seek an alternative abode outside the town.

Adeleke, Oyetola Camps Exchange Words Over PDP’s Trump Comment

The Osun chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has responded to the comment of the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP)Transition Committee in the state that compared the incumbent Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola to the former United States President, Donald Trump.

The response follows a comment from the camp of the state’s Governor-elect, Ademola Adeleke, who had described Oyetola to be worse than the former U.S.President Donald Trump, because of the alleged accusation that he is working to frustrate the transition of power next month.

The Osun state PDP transition committee had however admitted that the incumbent governor was compared to the former U.S. President, Donald Trump because just like him, Oyetola is plotting schemes not to hand over power to Adeleke.

Naija News reports that the spokesperson for governor-elect, Olawale Rasheed, who justified the action in a statement admitted that the chairman of the PDP Transition Committee, Dr Muyiwa Oladimeji, had compared Oyetola to Trump at a function.

According to him, just like the former US President who didn’t want to leave office, Oyetola too was working to frustrate the handover of power to Adeleke on November 27.

However, the Osun APC in its response told the PDP transition committee that the comparison of Oyetola to Trump was a false statement because the incumbent governor is a strong believer in the rule of law, hence the reason he is contesting Adeleke’s victory with facts and figures at the tribunal.

The Special Adviser to the Osun State APC Chairman, Kola Olabisi in a statement also noted that “We won’t join the fray in insulting Dr Oladimeji just the way he had done to Governor Oyetola but we shall not fail to point to the PDP chieftain and Defender-in-Chief of a controversial governor-elect that it would be more dignifying for him to make his point(s) without necessarily describing a sitting governor as being ‘intransigent’.

“Was Dr Oladimeji not worried that by the time he was vilifying Governor Oyetola on Thursday, another sitting Oyo State PDP Governor, Seyi Makinde, was busy praise-singing Oyetola at the joint flag-off of the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the 91-kilometre Osogbo-Iwo-Ibadan Road with fanfare in Osogbo?

“It wasn’t for fun that Governor Makinde did not bother to look at the venue of the PDP’s presentation of the one-legged transition committee report which is not better than a worthless piece of paper as the contents were predicated on conjectures and unofficial information illegally sourced from some disgruntled civil servants.

“The PDP handlers and their governor-elect should desist from fouling the media space by strangely making indecorous and inapposite noise by shouting and roaring over the legal activities of Governor Oyetola to create a false impression against the people’s governor,” Olabisi submitted.

Meanwhile, Naija News gathered that Rasheed in a statement to counter the APC  furthered that “We first want to take the liberty to list five reasons why the outgoing governor is every inch a Trumpist and even likely worst as noted by Dr Muyiwa Oladimeji, an accomplished professional and Chairman of Ademola Adeleke Transition Committee.

“We must point out further that when the July 16 results were out in public attested and authenticated as valid, the governor was still claiming a win. At a time his party members were already accepting electoral loss as traceable to several factors, the governor was holding fast to his ‘anigbele’ agenda exactly like a Trump who is still delusional and thinks he was rigged out.

“Any leader who electorally failed by all standards, whose loss was acknowledged by his leaders but who remains adamant and intransigent, is beyond a Trump. As he opposes democracy, his garb may become that of the Italian Benito Mussolini.

“Pressing the matter further, Trump in pursuance of his ‘election denier’ launched out to manufacture fake votes and alibi to remain in power. In Osun, Governor Oyetola and his propagandists orchestrated a fake election result tabulation to purportedly claim victory. The search for votes was desperately pursued but for the democratic alertness of the mandate holder, Senator Ademola Adeleke.

“We must elaborate further by calling attention to the attempted mutilation of American governance structures when Trump discovered the political end has come. The governor looks every inch like a good student of Mr Trump. If that behaviour is not Trumpist, is it that of Brazilian Jair Bolsonaro?” Adeleke’s spokesperson said.

Establish Ministry Of Nomadic Affairs To End Fulani-Herders’ Crisis – Miyetti Allah Tells FG

Establish Ministry Of Nomadic Affairs To End Fulani-Herders' Crisis - Miyetti Allah Tells FG

The Federal Government has been asked to establish the Federal Ministry of Nomadic Affairs in the country as a step toward ending the Fulani-herders crisis in Nigeria.

Naija News reports that the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore Fulani Association made the call on Monday at the end of its expanded National Executive meeting with state chairmen of the association held in Abuja

According to them, establishing the ministry will broaden educational opportunities and address pastoralist challenges across the country.

A statement jointly signed by the association’s National President, Abdullahi Bodejo, and secretary, Saleh Alhassan, also called for the overhauling of Nigeria’s security and justice systems to address cases of injustice meted on its members.

Miyetti Allah alleged that many of its youths are illegally detained across correctional centers.

The nomadic association maintained that the immediate designation, gazetting, and development of all 415 grazing reserves across the country is the only first strategic step in addressing the challenges confronting Fulani Herders in Nigeria.

“This will include the building of earth dams and solar boreholes. Building of veterinary clinics. Development of Diary (milk) collection centres,” the statement said.

The group noted with dismay the recent massacre of Fulani pastoralists in Taraba State and called on the Inspector General of Police to set up a high-power panel to unmask those responsible for the dastardly acts and ensure justice is done to the victims’ families to avoid people resorting to self-help.

“The meeting dismissed the consistent claims of farmers-herders conflicts as a major setback of instability and insecurity in Nigeria. But rather the conflicts are exacerbated by activities of states sponsored vigilantes and tribal hordes who willfully continue to carry out extra-judicial killings of Fulani pastoralists,” the statement added.

The association’s leadership also condemned the continuous profiling of Fulani pastoralists by Benue state Governor Samuel Ortom through the anti-grazing law it said the governor has been using to officially constitute and auction cattle belonging to Fulanis in Benue-Nasarawa and Benue-Taraba border communities.

They Are Experienced But We Need Who Can Be Trusted – Northern Elders Speak On Choosing Presidential Candidate

They Are Experienced But We Need Who Can Be Trusted - Northern Elders Speak On Choosing Presidential Candidate

The Northern Elders Forum (NEF) says what Nigeria needs is a leader that can be trusted to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people if elected.

The group maintained that all the major presidential candidates contesting the 2023 polls are experienced managers with enough money to get them to where they are currently but Nigerians need to subject them to more scrutiny to know who will deliver his promises if elected.

The spokesman of NEF, Baba Hakeem-Ahmed dropped the charge when he featured as a guest on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics.

He said: “Nigerians need to press our candidates. We desperately need to find out who among these people should be trusted.

“These (the candidates) are all hugely-experienced people in terms of managing people. These are also people with enough money to get to at least a point where they are now candidates. Their personalities should be scrutinized.”

Baba-Ahmed called on other regions to emulate what the northern region did by giving the presidential candidates the opportunity to share their plans for Nigerians with the people.

He said it will help voters in making informed decisions.

“If it can be replicated in other ways, it should be done. You need to press these candidates to be more specific in what they want to do,” he said, maintaining that the contenders should be challenged”, he said.

What God Showed Me About 2023 General Elections – Nigeria Pastor Reveals

What God Shows Me About 2023 General Elections - Nigeria Pastor Reveals

A Kaduna State-based Christian preacher, Apostle Emmanuel Nuhu Kure has said that something spectacular will happen in November that will raise eyebrows concerning the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

The cleric said God has not revealed to him yet who will succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023, but that he has seen that there will be some swings in November which will show clearly to Nigerians who the next leader should be.

Naija News understands that the Vision Pioneer, Throne Room Trust Ministry (TTM) said this over the weekend at the close of the 18th International Prophetic Prayer Conference, held at the permanent site of TTM Sanctuary in Kafanchan, the headquarters of Jema’a local government area of Kaduna State.

Apostle Kure, however, urged the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) to lead in uniting and directing Christendom towards making the right choices during the 2023 general elections.

He said, “among all the leading contestants, God is yet to show me who will lead. But, what I have seen and heard is that, by November, God will shake the land and position the man to be our Messiah”.

He reiterated that by November an event would turn around the country and expose the secrets of evil men before the February 2023 polls.

Speaking on separatist groups calling for the country’s disintegration, Kure urged Nigerians to do away with the call because it would not in any way end the agitations of other minority groups, which might not be satisfied after the split.

He, however, tasked Nigerians to recommit themselves to putting the judgement and word of God above their desire to serve as an example for others to emulate.

“I Struggled At Times With Mental Things” – Rashford Reveals Why He Faltered Last Season

Manchester United forward, Marcus Rashford, has revealed that he struggled last season due to mental issues.

The Englishman was in a better frame of mind for his historic 100th goal for Manchester United, which helped Erik ten Hag’s team defeat West Ham.

Rashford endured a difficult time last season when he returned to action following shoulder surgery, he discovered a divided United dressing room, as a result, his confidence suffered.

However, he acknowledged that being in a better frame of mind is helping him after scoring his seventh goal of the year to become the first United player to reach a century since Wayne Rooney in 2009.

‘To be honest, there is a completely different energy around the whole club, the training ground and that puts me in a better head space — I feel really motivated now,” said the English forward.

“I struggled at times last season — more mental things, not my own performance. It was other things off the pitch. Too often last season I wasn’t in the right head space.

“I need to be scoring a few more headers. For me, it is about getting in the areas and goals will come.”

Gary Neville commented on Rashford’s openness about his struggles with his mental health in a discussion with Skysports.

“It was stark to hear Rashford say he wasn’t in the right headspace going into a match,” he said.

“There is no doubt there was too much being put in his head off the pitch. Too much. Sometimes you have to simplify your life.”

Why Peter Obi Will Peform Better Than Tinubu In 2023 Election – Bwala

Why Peter Obi Will Peform Better Than Tinubu In 2023 Election - Bwala

The spokesperson of the Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign Organisation, Daniel Bwala, has predicted that the Labour Party (LP) will do better than the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 elections.

Bwala made the prediction during an interview on Sunrise Daily, a Channels Television programme, on Monday, Naija News reports.

He stated that the LP presidential candidate, Peter Obi, would perform better than his APC counterpart, Bola Tinubu because the ruling party is disorganised.

Bwala said the forthcoming presidential election is a referendum on the APC after being in power for seven years, adding that the referendum is not on a standard set by the ruling party.

He added that the likes of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, and Senate President Ahmad Lawan have been ostracised by Tinubu.

He said: “The Labour Party has more promise than APC in this election. It is a referendum.

“The PDP is the opposition party. In 2019, you saw how they came close. The point is when you add all their aspirants together with President Muhammadu Buhari, and yet they only were able to escape with 2 points something million votes, you can imagine now that they are fragmented.

“Where the candidate of the party is on a vendetta mission against those who ran against him in the primary. Where is Osinbajo today? Ostracised as if he’s an outcast.

“The referendum on APC is not on a standard set by others. It’s their own standard.”

2023: Tinubu Is A Tribal Evangelist – Atiku’s Camp

2023: Tinubu Reacts As Fosaranti’s Support His Presidential Ambition

The camp of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has described the flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu as a tribal evangelist.

The spokesman of the Atiku/Okowa presidential campaign council, Daniel Bwala stated this while reacting to the statement of Tinubu during his meeting with leaders of Afenifere on Sunday.

Bwala in a statement released on Monday said the comment of Tinubu that he would bring the trophy home at the meeting is an ethnic insinuation and divisive remark.

Recall that Afenifere and some Southwest leaders on Sunday endorsed Tinubu’s presidential ambition.

The statement read, “So to Tinubu, the race to become the president of Nigeria is a trophy to be won and taken to his ethnic enclave. He was not only wrong in his tribal insinuation that not a single Yoruba opposed the ticket, but he also lied because lots of Yorubas took strong objections to the same faith ticket and to his divisive and religious politics.

“To say that his ticket is supported by all Yorubas is, to say the least disingenuous, false, and condemnable.

“Tinubu has made no secret about his tribal championship and utter disregard for other ethnic people in southern Nigeria. This to say the least is sad and terribly troubling and Nigerians should rise and condemn this rhetoric at the polls.”
