24-year-old son of Kano commissioner goes missing

Abdulrahman Abdu Usman, son of Kano State Commissioner for Women Affairs, Dr Zahrau Muhammad Umar has been declared missing 15 days after he left the house for Katsina state.

According to Daily Trust, 24-year-old Abdulrahman reportedly left his family house in Kano on January 17, for Katsina where he is undertaking the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and since then all effort to trace his whereabouts have proven abortive as he cannot be reached on his mobile phones.

The family also gathered that Abdulrahman did not arrive Katsina.

It has not yet been established if Abdulrahman’s disappearance is a case of abduction.

Security operatives in the state were said to have since been alerted and they are working round the clock for a breakthrough.

The Commissioner has also confirmed the disappearance of her son saying, it had been days that they saw the young man last.

A family source also revealed that no one had contacted the family over any possible abduction for ransom.
