One of the key point agenda of the frontline governorship aspirant under the platform of People’s Democratic Party- PDP and a business magnate, Dr. Obiora Okonkwo, is the promise to urbanize the rural areas in Anambra state. The import of this is that many rural areas will begin to enjoy a lot of benefits that are hitherto peculiar to the cities.
Sadly, basic social amenities such as electricity, good roads, mobile network and portable water are still absent in some rural areas in the suburb of Anambra. This he has promised to fix when elected as the governor of the State.
He has also laid out feasible, rational and logical plans through which this aim will be achieved.
Before Obiora Okonkwo’s appearance in the state’s political scene, he was a well-to-do business mogul who has defined and redefined success in all his business endeavors.
He is the owner of one of the best Airlines in Nigeria- United Airlines and also the owner of the best, sumptuous and luxurious relaxation center in Abuja-Dome event center.
He is also a renowned academician and an intellectual guru, who believes success is achieved when hard work meets determination. This is a philosophy with which he wants to transform the rural areas of Anambra State.
On, 26th June 2021, PDP delegates are expected to give life to this dream by electing Obiora Okonkwo to be the party’s Standard-bearer in the forthcoming governorship election in Anambra. This singular decision will bring smiles to the faces of Ndi Anambra.
