The news about the Titan Trust Bank’s acquisition of major stakes in Union Bank PLC was rife in both mainstream media and alternative media, however, not many are conversant with the intellectual giant behind that giant stride.

More so, not many will attribute such unprecedented stride to a woman. The truth, however, is that a distinguish lady, nay amazon, was the brainbox behind that feat.

She is Dr. Adaeze Udensi. Dr. Adaeze Udensi is a distinguish banker, an intellectual Colossus, an amazon of a kind, a rare gem and an astute manager.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Banking and Finance from the Enugu state University Of Science and Technology and MBAs from River State University Of Science And Technology and Bangor University, United Kingdom, and also PhD in Credit Management from the University of Panama.

Dr. Udensi is a cornucopia of banking experience with over 23 years of experience in the banking sector.

Before joining Titan Trust Bank Limited, she has served in different capacities across some financial institutions in Nigeria.

She was the Executive Director in charge of the South-South/South-East Directorate and Executive Compliance Officer for Heritage Bank. She also deputized the CEO in some cases and was responsible for driving the retail business at Heritage Bank across the entire 160 branches in Nigeria.

She also worked in Zenith Bank, where she employed her wealth of knowledge and expertise to the growth and development of its Oil and Gas, Public sector, Commercial and Retail Businesses, and left as a General Manager in 2014.

She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Scotland, a member of the Strategy and Advocacy Committee of the Governing Council of The Chartered Institute of Nigeria (CIBN), Fellow of the Institute of Credit Administration and an Honorary Senior Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.
