In a shocking incident at Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka, a 2nd-year student simply identified as Chioma allegedly attacked the hostel president, Mark, with hot water and a stab wound. The altercation reportedly arose from a disagreement over hostel cleaning duties.

The incident, which occurred at Twins Fall Lodge in Ifite-Awka on Saturday, 17th February 2024, has sparked concerns over student safety and conflict resolution on campus.

According to reports, Mark, who is the president of the hostel, had a heated argument with Chioma regarding cleaning responsibilities. The disagreement escalated, leading Chioma to allegedly pour hot water on Mark and subsequently stab him. Mark was rushed to a local hospital for medical attention following the attack.

The incident has left the university community in shock, raising questions about the safety of students within campus hostels.
