Photos: Unbelievable as IPOB unleash mayhem in Imo State
Owerri becomes empty as Buhari visits.
The ever bubbling city of Owerri suddenly became empty in compliance to the sit-at-home order issued by the leaders of Indigenous People Of Biafra- IPOB, following President Mohammadu Buhari’s scheduled visit to Imo state.
The city which was hitherto overwhelmed by human and vehicular movements appeared deserted as no human nor a single vehicle was in sight.
It Is worth recalling that the leaders Indigenous People Of Biafra- IPOB earlier imposed a sit-at-home order in the states within it’s province to register their disaffection on the killing of their members by the Nigerian security agents and the continued detention of their leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
However, in another twist of the story, the Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo Youth Wing rejected the order, stating that it was arbitrary and did not confirm with rationality.
