Justin: Nigerian Army Denies Assaulting Chinwetalu Agu.
The Nigerian Army has denied brutalizing the veteran Nollywood actor, Chinwetalu Agu.
The Army in a press statement signed by the Director of Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, stated the he was only picked up for questioning having seen inciting the people to join the proscribed Indigenous People Of Biafra, IPOB.
The Nigerian Army who alleges that Chinwetalu Agu demonstrated uncharitable disposition to negate peace and security in the region, also stated that he was taking into the custody for preliminary investigation.
It also stated that it will not allow IPOB to see to the degeneration of security in the region, adding that national interest is greater than any parochial interest.
It further enjoined the masses to go about their lawful business without fear as efforts are made to bring the perpetrators of violence to book.
