HON. DR. CHRIS ONYII OKEKE (BISHOP NISE) PLANS A BETTER LIFE FOR THE OBIZI YOUTHS.

~Organizes 2weeks Skills Acquisition Training.

Obizi, a section of Awka South Local Government Area, which includes Amawbia, Nibo, Nise, Mbaukwu, Umuawulu, Isiagu and Ezinato was yesterday at Nibo Civic Center, officially commenced with an impactful skill acquisition training birthed by Hon. Dr. Chris Onyii Okeke (Bishop Nise). The participants of the training was selected from across the communities of Obizi (Awka South Constituency II) in Awka South LGA.

The skill acquisition training was an idea initiated by Hon. Okeke to help in repositioning the youths and get them engaged in meaningful self skill activities that will transform their lives positively. The training which started yesterday is expected to run for a period of 2weeks, where the participants will be trained in batches to suit their various desired skills. During the yesterday’s training, the partakers were practically trained on how to bake “small chops” and the making of “different kinds of soaps” while the are taking on “making of foot wares” today. Other things they will be trained on are; Sharwama baking, paint production, barbecue and making of vasiline.

Speaking during the training, Hon. Okeke who is the initiator of the program, the first of its kind in Obizi, thanked the resource team (training team) and the trainees. He reminded them the importance of having skills and how it has reshaped many hopeless minds. According to him, the present Governor of Anambra state believes in locally made products and will always patronize Anambra made products which will help create jobs in the state and reduce unemployment rate in the area. In line with the policy of His Excellency Prof. Charles Soludo, he admonished them to take the training serious so as to be productive at the end.

Others who spoke during the official unveiling of the training was Ochendo Idemili which told the story of how he hired a “Small-Chops Maker” from Asaba to an event in Anambra due to the scarcity of the Small-Chops’ Makers in Anambra especially during festive era. He emphasized the need to be skilled and extolled the benevolent act of Hon. Okeke.

The Coordinator of NYCN Njikoka Comr. Ugochukwu Godwin Okoye, Ohaneze Youth Coordinator Njikoka Comr. Ebele Ngini among others in their entourage who came to witness the ongoing training organized by Hon. Okeke, expressed gratitude to Hon. Okeke, commending his passionate gesture as a genuine move to neutralize poverty and unemployment in the area.

The clergy whose presence was to observe the ongoing training equally lend his voice in accordance to the previous speakers and prayed God’s grace upon Hon. Okeke for his impacting ideas.

Barr. Tochukwu Agriga who is the youth President of Umuawulu and the vice president of Nibo youths was also in attendance.

Truly, BISHOP NISE is an ideal man that is already unlocking the bottlenecks holding behind the greater heights of Ndi Obizi.
