Former Nigerian Court of Appeal Judge Passes Away

The Nigerian legal community and the nation at large are mourning the loss of one of their most esteemed jurists, the retired Justice of the Court of Appeal, Ahmad Olanrewaju Belgore.

His passing was announced by the Chairman of the Ilorin Branch of the Nigeria Bar Association, Kwara State, Kamaldeen Gambari, marking a somber moment for all who knew him and benefited from his vast contributions to the judiciary and society.

In a heartfelt tribute, the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, expressed profound loss, stating that Justice Belgore’s demise represents a significant void in both the Ilorin Emirate and the broader Nigerian community. Describing him as “a complete gentleman and a thorough judicial officer,” the Emir highlighted Justice Belgore’s remarkable contributions on both national and international stages, affirming his status as one of Ilorin Emirate’s finest justices.
