EPL: Brendan Rodgers told to leave Leicester City immediately

Perry Groves, a former Arsenal player, advised Brendan Rodgers to leave Leicester City on good terms right away rather than wait until he was fired.

The Foxes have only managed one draw in their first six Premier League games this season.

On Sunday, Rodgers watched helplessly as Brighton destroyed his team 5-2 in the Premier League, leaving his team comfortably at the bottom of the standings.

“I don’t think he’s going to last this week. I think, if he had anything about him, he would go to Leicester [and agree to a mutual termination],” Perry said on Sunday Session.

“Managers don’t resign, do they? But he’s lost his enthusiasm, he had an air of resignation half-way through the transfer window when there were no players coming in, didn’t he?

“[An FA Cup win] and two fifth place finishes in the Premier League. They were really batting above their average.

“Brendan Rodgers, you can tell in his body language, you can tell when you have been interviewing him, he’s lost that spark.”
