PDP Crisis: Wike Reveals Next Line Of Action, Says Retired Generals Are Threatening Him

The governorship candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who visited the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike in Port Harcourt on Tuesday have revealed details of their meeting.

Naija News had earlier reported that the governorship candidates were led by the flagbearer of the party in Jigawa State, Mustapha Sule Lamido. The meeting was held at Governor Wike’s private residence in Rumueprikon, Obio-Akpor Local Government Area. According to the governors, they visited Governor Wike to plead with him over the crisis in the party. The governorship candidates further stated that they are concerned about their chances of winning the 2023 election in their respective states. The governorship candidate of the party in Kaduna State, Isa Muhammed while speaking on behalf of other candidates said they met with Wike after they met with the party presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar. He said they have heard from the presidential candidate of the party and the Rivers State Governor on the cause of the internal crisis in the party. Muhammed noted that they would present the issues in the party to the National Working Committee (NWC). The governorship candidate who said the meeting was fruitful said they expect the NWC to act on the issues.
