Updates: Concerns as Late Access Holdings CEO, Herbert Wigwe’s Father Slumps at Son’s Funeral Service

Shyngle Wigwe, the biological father of billionaire business mogul and late former Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings, Dr Herbert Wigwe on Saturday slumped and was rushed to a nearby hospital for immediate therapy.

Dr. Herbert Wigwe, a renowned billionaire and erstwhile Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings, alongside his beloved wife, Doreen, and cherished son, Chizzy, were laid to rest in a heartfelt ceremony.

The service, held at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Lion of Judah Parish, in Isiokpo, within the Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, saw the attendance of numerous dignitaries, guests, and a host of mourners, all united in grief and remembrance.

The tragic demise of the Wigwe family occurred following a helicopter crash in the United States. The ill-fated journey, destined for Las Vegas, ended in catastrophe near the border between Nevada and California in February. The family had embarked on this journey from Lagos State, Nigeria, to attend Super Bowl 58, a spectacle of American football, hosted on February 11, 2024, at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

In an unexpected and heart-wrenching development, Shyngle Wigwe, the bereaved father of Dr. Herbert Wigwe, succumbed to the weight of his grief, collapsing during the funeral service. Quick action ensured his immediate rush to a nearby hospital for treatment, sparking a flurry of concern and rumors regarding his condition.

Tony Ogbuagu, a well-known influencer on the X platform formerly known as Twitter, sought to quell the swirling speculations by clarifying that Shyngle Wigwe, despite the scare, had not passed away but was instead receiving medical attention.
