MTN Addresses Customers over Connectivity, Internet Service Issues

Mobile Telephone Network, MTN has addressed their subscribers following the hitches that occurred on their Main Cable system, leading to a breach in communication.

Subscribers to the MTN had on Thursday morning experienced a severe network hiccup when the major cable of the network provider became faulty.

The MTN, therefore, urges its esteemed customers to bear with them as the fault gets resolved to prevent further disruption of its services.

Read the details here:”This is to update you on the fault that occurred on the MainOne cable system around 9 am this morning, Thursday, March 14, 2024. Based on our investigation, the fault is resulting from an incident on our submarine cable system, offshore the coast of West Africa that has affected other cable systems and is disrupting international connectivity and Internet services to countries across West Africa.

“We are working with cable systems that are not affected by this incident or previous outages to secure restoration capacity and our technical team is working assiduously to begin the restoration of services, subject to availability of capacity and service specifics.

“We will provide incremental updates on the root cause and efforts to repair the submarine cable as soon as those details become available over the next 24 hours.”
