Amb Elijah Onyeagba PhD meets with Burundi’s foreign affairs minister ahead of diplomatic meeting with the president, Republic of Burundi.

In a recent publication made available to the media by the media team of the Ambassador of Nigeria to the Republic of Burundi, the newly appointed Ambassador of Nigeria is set to meet the president of Burundi to submit his credence letter as the international protocol in ambassadorial appointment requires.

In line with established diplomatic protocol, His Excellency, Amb Elijah Onyeagba PhD, the Ambassador Extraordinaire and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the Republic of Burundi yesterday, Thursday, May 20, 2021, met with Burundi’s Foreign Affairs Minister, His Excellency Amb Albert Shingiro to present copies of his letters of credence.

De Erudite Media gathered that the meeting held in the Burundian Foreign Affairs Ministry Complex, where the Nigerian envoy was received by Amb Albert Shingiro who after receiving the copies of the letters of credence, will lead Amb Elijah Onyeagba (PhD) to the President of the Republic of Burundi today 21st May 2021 for the official presentation of his letters of credence.

Recall that the Nigerian Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Burundi recently received a delegation from Burundi’s Private Sector led by Deo Ngendehayo and Eddy Mbona. The deliberation focused on expanding both economies by strengthening trade ties between both African countries, an action which seems to be a step in the right direction by the new ambassador.
