In a moving and emotional Instagram live video, Omowunmi Aloba, the bereaved wife of the late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, known to fans as Mohbad, has made serious accusations against Joseph Aloba, her father-in-law.
She claims he has obstructed efforts to conduct a DNA test on their son Liam, amidst allegations of exploiting Mohbad’s tragic demise for financial gain.
Omowunmi, also known as Wunmi, articulated her pain and distress over what she perceives as a series of injustices and manipulations orchestrated by Joseph Aloba. She accused him of aligning with individuals who allegedly contributed to Mohbad’s struggles and eventual demise. Furthermore, she alleges that her father-in-law is delaying the DNA testing process for their child, Liam, motivated by a desire to claim Mohbad’s estate.
Wunmi’s emotional outpour on social media was a plea for support and intervention from the Nigerian public. She described a grim scenario where her father-in-law purportedly sees Liam as an obstacle in his path to acquiring Mohbad’s assets. She also accused him of leveraging social media influencers to tarnish their family’s name, thus profiting from the ongoing controversy.
According to Wunmi, the situation has escalated to a point where she fears for her and her son’s safety, suggesting that their lives might be at risk if it means securing Mohbad’s legacy for Joseph Aloba. Despite the intimidation and the bullying she and Mohbad faced, Wunmi vows to protect Liam with her life, emphasizing that he is the sole heir to Mohbad’s legacy.
