Police Arrest Prophet, Others for Ritual Killing in Ogun

The Ogun Police Command has apprehended a group of individuals, including a self-proclaimed prophet, in connection with a ritual killing.

The incident, which was disclosed in a late Thursday statement, involved the killing of one Sulaimon Aishat, a 35-year-old woman, allegedly for ritual purposes.

According to the statement issued by the Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Mustapha ALAMUTU, the investigation began following the sudden disappearance of the victim, reported to the DPO of Onipanu on January 9, 2024. In response, the CP ordered the Anti-Kidnapping Unit to launch an investigation.

Subsequently, seven suspects were arrested for their involvement in the crime. The suspects were identified as Moses Abidemi, Oluwo Samuel, Prophet Peter Oluwalolese, Akinwunmi Ifatosin, Prophet Jamiu Yusuf, Sherif Agbai, and Osojieahen Alioneiouria.

The investigation revealed that the perpetrators had planned to perform a money ritual known as ‘Oshole,’ which promised to yield Two hundred million naira within seven days.

Oluwo Samuel Monday, one of the suspects, contacted Peter Oluwalolese, a pastor of a white garment church in Ibadan, to source a young lady between 18 and 20 years old for the ritual. Peter Oluwalolese, in turn, contacted Prophet Jamiu Yusuf, known for supplying human parts for ritual purposes, who then contacted Abidemi Moses, an herbalist in Ata Ota, Ogun State.

Abidemi Moses requested six hundred thousand naira for the victim, and the price was negotiated down to three hundred thousand naira for the specific body parts required for the ritual. The victim, Sulaimon Adijat, was lured to Sunshine Hotel, Atan Ota, where she was later taken to Abidemi Moses’ shrine and killed. Her dismembered body parts were then transported to Abidemi Moses’ house, where Oluwo Samuel Monday and Prophet Peter Oluwalolese were waiting.

All the arrested suspects have confessed to their roles in the crime, and investigations are ongoing to apprehend other suspects who are currently at large. Once the investigation is complete, the case will be charged to court. The public will be kept informed of further developments.
