Igbos Cannot Keep Dominating- Priest Bursts Out.

A Catholic priest identified as Rev. Fr. James Anelu, in charge of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ewu-Owa Gberigbe in Ikorodu, has bursted out that Igbo cannot keep dominating other tribes, even outside Igbo locality.

The priest, who reportedly halted a melodious Igbo worship song during the second collection in a mass, said the Igbo are too dominative and instantiated Benin Catholic Diocese where an Igbo man was made a Bishop.

The priest also hinted that the sprit of God only recognizes the language indigenous to the location where the church is domiciled.

His statement precipitated a melee as the congregations angrily evacuated the church rancorously.

Reacting to this development, some people described the priest as ethno-centric, suggesting that such a one like him shouldn’t be seen in priestly robe, while pointing out that such reckless utterance can herald ethnic dissension.
