FG appoints Provost for newly-established Fed College of Education, Iwo

The federal government has appointed a Professor of Islamic Studies, Rafiu Adebayo, as the Provost of the newly-established Federal College of Education, Iwo, in Osun.

Adebayo is Deputy Chief Imam of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN)

Alhaji Liadi Tella, former Lecturer, Department of Mass Communication and Senior Research Fellow, was appointed Chairman of the Governing Council.

The institution’s bulletin announced the appointments quoting the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu.

Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari administration recently approved the establishment of six Federal Colleges of Education in all geo-political zones in Nigeria.
