Unknown Gunmen Attacks Neni Police Station, Set Buildings Ablaze

The Neni Police Divisional Headquarters faced an audacious attack by unidentified gunmen.

The assailants launched an assault that involved setting parts of the building on fire, creating a tense situation in the community.

Despite the severity of the attack, it’s a relief to report that the main structure of the police station remained unscathed. Remarkably, there were no casualties among the police force, and no officers were abducted. Additionally, the attackers failed to seize any weapons from the facility.

The perpetrators resorted to using improvised explosive devices (IEDs) to inflict damage on the police station. They threw these explosives into the premises and quickly fled the scene. Although the IEDs caused some destruction to parts of the building, the swift response and resilience of the police prevented a greater tragedy.
