COVID-19: Nigeria records 22 fresh infections in four states and FCT

Nigeria has recorded 22 cases of deadly COVID-19 disease in four states and the federal capital territory (FCT).

The COVID-19 result was announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update for Sunday, January 30, 2020.

According to the agency’s report, a breakdown of the new cases is shown below: Osun -9, FCT-6, Delta-4, Rivers-2, Kano-1.

The agency also disclosed that 317 persons were discharged after recovering from the infection.

There were no fatalities on Sunday, leaving the total number of deaths at 3,135.

The NCDC added that the report includes four cases reported for Delta state from January 28 (3) and 29 (1).

Since the index case in February 2020, 252,840 cases have been confirmed with 228,404 recoveries.
