Senator Melaye made the call on Sunday while cautioning the INEC, and Security Agencies not to cause a war in the discharge of their responsibilities.
He made the call in a statement he issued on Saturday night after the Presidential and National Assembly elections.
“Officials of the ICPC, EFCC, and security agencies will be on the ground to monitor and ensure that the law in that respect is not violated.”
This is happening less than 72 hours before the February 25th general elections in Nigeria, while the general public is wowed by the various unfolding ever-unanticipated events in the states across the country.

“According to the Commission, the list of registered voters in the 176,846 polling units nationwide will be on display at each polling unit before Election Day.”

He added that the electoral umpire must ensure that votes counted and announced results reflect the true decision of Nigerians.
The commission was responding to a suit marked: FHC/ABJ/CS/2348/2022, which alleged a plot to disenfranchise over 20million eligible voters in the country.
He spoke at the commencement of an investigative hearing of the House Ad-hoc Committee of the House of Representatives probing the attacks on offices and the facilities of INEC on Friday in Abuja.
“Our investigations suggest that this is an aggressive and blatant voter suppression attempt to reduce the voting powers of the North.”
