Femi Fani-Kayode has reacted to the post-election statement made by Senator Dino Melaye, cautioning the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and the Security Agencies not to trigger a war in the cause of the discharge of their responsibilities in the elections.
Senator Melaye was categorical when he called out the INEC and Security agencies not to compromise the elections.
Melaye further threatened that any action contrary to the expectation of the masses would be reciprocated.
Responding, Fani-Kayode urged those that are threatening fire because they lost to accept defeat and stop their threats.
Kayode also cautioned them not to set Nigeria on fire or ignite a war, or start something they cannot finish.
Fani-Kayode wrote: “INEC has done no wrong.
“Those that are threatening fire because they lost must reign in their tongues, accept defeat and stop their threats.
“Do not set Nigeria on fire, do not provoke us, do not ignite a war, and do not start something you cannot finish.
“WE WILL DEFEND OUR MANDATE.
